jumped at the chance and met John a couple of days later at the dealership for what turned out to be an amazing
automotive experience for me.
The new 2015 Mustang was basically redesigned by Ford for the true car purist and it was a truly amazing experience to
drive. The new 2015 Mustang GT was designed to be driven (from user controlled computer settings) by the average car
novice to the purist who wants a true on track racing experience. From the first moment I saw the car inside the
maintenance garage at Sunrise Ford I could feel the energy overflowing from this truly beautiful piece of automotive
art.
Initially we conducted a thorough walk around looking at the engine in which you could feel the power hidden within it.
The engine was the new 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque 5.0 V-8 that boasts both better fuel and EPA regulation ratings
but also a top speed of 155 mph. The engine maintains standard oil cooler but it has twin scroll turbo and new higherflow fuel injectors. direct-injection turbocharged four. The exhaust manifold is also cast with the head, and it fires
separate pulses in sequence to spin the turbo. The GT also several performance upgrades to the GT which include a
Torsen 3.55 limited-slip, response-tuned bushings; bigger bakes, larger radiator, staggered wheels, new suspension
featuring an independent rear system, and additional gages. The brake performance package includes 15 inch rotors
with 6 six pot Bremdo calipers in the front wheels.
The new Mustang also provides a bigger footprint in the fact that Ford had added more high strength steel and
hydroform rails to meet increased crash standards. As a result the new Mustang is 2.0 inches shorter, the rear A-pillars
are moved rearward slightly so that the hood is a bit longer now. The rear deck has dropped 1-2 inches and the 2015
Mustang is wider and its rear track increased by 3 inches more than my new 2014
