CSM: This is your feature debut to be on Center
Stage Magazine, what is the experience like when
you are included in our roster for 2019’s game-
changer issue?
DASHAY: What an honor and great achievement it
is to be selected! Definitely a great feeling know-
ing all your hard work pays off. found a select small group of people who I like to
call my fitfam that have made not only an impact
on my life in the fitness world but also personally.
They continuously keep me motivated, encour-
aged, and help me to bring out the best of me. And
I am always thankful for everyone who has had an
impact on me.
CSM: What do you think makes Center Stage
Magazine stand-out or makes it unique in other
publications around the globe?
DASHAY: CSM has a great platform that brings
together many different individuals show casing
the different amazing qualities every one brings. CSM: How do you set goals for yourself?
DASHAY: I ask myself what I want out of my life
now and for the future. I write down my goals and
the steps I know I will need to achieve them then
start putting them into effect.
CSM: This year’s bimonthly edition is about going
for game-changing results in careers and individu-
ality and inspiring people (being a beacon of inspi-
ration); describe how did you exude your game-
changing excellence and confidence in your career
and what did you do to push that boundaries
DASHAY: I have had to go through many trial and
errors before I got where I am today. Confidence
never came easy for me. I had to learn to be con-
fident. I had to make many lifestyle changes and
self-discoveries in order to get where I am. I think
pushing ourselves beyond our comfort zones and
achieving small goals help us to grow into our con-
fidence. I’m still a work in progress, but every day
I try to do something that will allow me to mental
get there.
CSM: Being assertive and attentive is required for
this profession. Have you ever made or encountered
difficult decisions? How did you manage that?
DASHAY: Of course. I think everyone has made
and encountered difficult decisions in life not par-
ticularly just this profession. How else do we grow
as an individual if not? I think knowing what you
want for yourself and know what’s best for you
will encourage you to stand up for yourself and will
help avoid any difficult decisions you may face.
CSM: How do you handle the situation if people
get intimidated by you and your work?
DASHAY: I have never recognized someone being
intimidated by me. I tend to be a little shy at first
when meeting new people. I try to be as friendly
and make myself as approachable as possible and
always flash a smile to everyone I encounter.
CSM: What game-changing results do you look
forward to this year?
DASHAY: Challenging myself to balance my life
and fitness goals. As well receiving my certifica-
tion in PT.
CSM: Describe the person who made an impact in
your life and how that is significant.
DASHAY: I think everyone I have encountered
in my life has made some type of an impact on
me. Growing up with a lot of strong females in
my family and seeing my mom never back down
from a challenge has definitely shaped me into be-
ing a strong woman. My father has always pushed
me to be independent enough to handle my own. I
think for now though, where I am at in my life, I’ve
CSM: What exactly motivates you to be a game-
changer and how do you do it?
DASHAY: My personal goals for myself and my
family are what motivate me. I am always looking
for ways to better improve myself and to lead a
happy life. It’s never easy to stay 100% motivated.
You just push yourself to make it work, seek ad-
vice or help from a friend and if you fail, get up and
give it your all tomorrow. There’s always a new
day to try again.
CSM: Describe the true nature of being sexy and
an eye-catching individual.
DASHAY: For me, being sexy or an eye catcher
goes beyond just the physical appearance. Beauty
to me is combing a number of things such as exud-
ing a positive energy, confident yet humble, and a
pure heart.
CSM: The industry you are in right now is very
fast-paced, full of competition and full of talent
and unavoidable politics at times. What makes you
stand out and how do you keep up with talented
people around you?
DASHAY: I try not comparing myself to the next
person, especially in this industry. I think every-
one has a certain thing about them that makes them
stand out individually. I try to remain humble and
true to myself in my passions.
CSM: Work-wise, what does it take to be success-
ful in this type of profession?
DASHAY: There is so much competition out there
within fitness and fitness models being the new “to
do” thing. You have to find a platform that speaks
to you and that you are passionate enough about
to really breakthrough the molds with fitness these
days. You have to really work hard to market and
sell your platform to reach the millions of people
out there especially in social media.
CSM: What is your great advice to those who will
venture this kind of work?
DASHAY: Stay persistent and determined to keep
working to reach your goals and have fun along
the way.
CSM: Cast a magic spell and wave your magic
wand, where do you see yourself ten years from
now?
DASHAY: Ten years from now I hope to be mar-
ried with kids, living a happy balanced life of new
adventures and healthy lifestyle.
