CSM: How do you keep yourself educated or updat-
ed for latest trends and information in healthy living
or lifestyle?
AUSTEN: Well, in my course in media arts, I’m am
having to keep up to date with media trends and as
well as this I am always looking information on nu-
trition and training as I find the chemistry and dy-
namics of the human body fascinating.
CSM: How important is food and nutrition to you as
a model, athlete or as an individual?
AUSTEN: This is paramount to me as I am a natural
athlete and have to compete against enhanced indi-
viduals, because of this I have to keep the margin of
error in my intake as small as possible. Nutrition is
my life and I have dedicated my self to keeping my
self healthy and active. This is what I’m best at in life
and what I love.
CSM: Describe the essential skills to be effective in
maintaining your figure or shape.
AUSTEN: Being dedicated and loving what I do.
Without love for this life, there is no way you can
maintain it.
CSM: What are your ideas about non-organic food
versus organic?
AUSTEN: As a student I am torn between organic
being expensive and non-organic being cheap. If I
had a choice I would always buy fresh and organic
but as a student and money being short my current
lifestyle means I sometimes have to overlook this
matter for price.
CSM: What are your views on an all-meat diet versus
a vegan diet?
AUSTEN: Each to their own. I have been raised to
believe everything in moderation so when it comes
to these extreme ends of dieting, I believe there are
benifits to each but I think these choice but for me
I believe life can’t be lived to its fullest unless you
willing to try evrthung from all avenues of diet.
CSM: What groups of food do you usually eat?
AUSTEN: Everything in moderation, meat fruit veg-
etables and also some higher processed food like
sweets and other sweet treats on occasion.
CSM: Do you think customized meal plans are really
necessary? Why is that?
AUSTEN: I think it’s up to an individual if they need
a plan or not to stick to, to stay healthy.
CSM: Any fitness goals for yourself? What are you
aiming now?
AUSTEN: Right now I am planning in competing in
natural physique bodybuilding shows throughout the
year.
CSM: There are a lot of online coaches and lifestyle
advisers out in the market already, what are the fac-
tors that people should take into consideration when
hiring a personal trainer or online coaches or maybe
investing some time and money to them?
AUSTEN: They need to resea\arch how they work
and if there methods will work for the person want-
ing to reach a certain goal. You can do this by talking
to other clients and messaging the coach and ask if
there plan will work for them.
CSM: As a fitness and health enthusiast, what are the
essential exercises you have to do? Why is that?
AUSTEN: There is no one key exercise to being an
enthusiast but a mix and for me it would be mixing
heavy weight lifting and cardio, building muscle and
burning fat. These are key to staying in my peak con-
dition.
CSM: Do you have any gym etiquette advice for oth-
er people?
AUSTEN: Be respectful to others and help people
starting out to help them get to where you are and
beyond.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does working out daily improve
one’s sexual stamina or prowess during sexual activ-
ity? Why do you say so?
AUSTEN: It will increase your cardiovascular en-
durance and this will help in my experience to please
your partner.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does living a healthy lifestyle
keeps you happy and young? Why is that?
AUSTEN: Fact, if you are healthy in my opinion
your will improve your life and there for improve
your chances of happiness.
CSM: If you are our health ambassador and a life-
style advocate, how would you help promote healthy
living in school or in corporate world?
AUSTEN: By leading by example and showing in
demonstration that you can be healthy in your self
and in your life. I want to show how easy it can be
with small changes.
CSM: A lot of your followers are curious to know
these, if there’s any food and beverage that you can-
not resist what would that be and why?
AUSTEN: Chinese food would be my biggest weak-
ness because of the vast range of flavors to fit any
mood, making it hard to resist when it is on offer.
CSM: Any advice to individuals who wants to gain
weight and lean muscle? Advise to people who want
to lose weight and be sexy?
AUSTEN: To gain weight and lean muscle you have
to be dedicated, it does not happen over night and
you need to push your self to reach this goal. For
people who want to loose weight and be sexy I would
say tracking macros (protein carbohydrates and fats)
and making sure you are in a calorie deficit, meaning
that you calorie intake is less that what your body is
burning, this is the only way to loose weight so track
what you do and what you eat.
