CSM: How do you keep yourself educated or updat-
ed for latest trends and information in healthy living
or lifestyle?
SOPHIE: Research! Read!! I love reading while do-
ing cardio, and searching for new trends in health,
fitness and beauty.
CSM: How important is food and nutrition to you as
a model, athlete or as an individual?
SOPHIE: Food & nutrition is everything! It is life; it
molds everything about being an athlete. Without it,
where would our abs be?
CSM: Describe the essential skills to be effective in
maintaining your figure or shape.
SOPHIE: Make a Plan, Execute the Plan, Prioritize
the plan, and stay CONSISTENT with the plan!
CSM: What are your ideas about non-organic food
versus organic?
SOPHIE: I always try to choose organic at all times,
but for an average person it’s not always affordable.
When it comes to meat or veg organic if you have to
choose one, go with the meat & make sure you AL-
WAYS thoroughly clean and rinse your veg. I like to
soak mine in vinegar overnight.
CSM: What are your views on an all-meat diet versus
a vegan diet?
SOPHIE: I feel that the body can’t always process
certain meats correctly, but everybody is different.
We don’t always know what exactly is being fed to
the animals that we are eating. I choose to do leaner
cuts of organic grass fed meat but more of a fish-
based diet with lots & lots of green vegetables.
CSM: What groups of food do you usually eat?
SOPHIE: Lean grass fed meat, white fish, vegetables,
berries, low glycemic based carbs (buckwheat & bo-
niato’s are my favorite)
CSM: Do you think customized meal plans are really
necessary? Why is that?
SOPHIE: I think if you are new to the game then yes.
Once you get an understanding for your body, then
you can learn to customize things accordingly. Com-
petition prep: absolutely 100% yes they are neces-
sary.
CSM: Any fitness goals for yourself? What are you
aiming now?
SOPHIE: Growing the booty always!!!! #EveryDay-
IsLegDay Possibly some more competition’s the end
of the year.
CSM: There are a lot of online coaches and lifestyle
advisers out in the market already, what are the fac-
tors that people should take into consideration when
hiring a personal trainer or online coaches or maybe
investing some time and money to them?
SOPHIE: Research! Check credentials, look at tes-
timonials, check with past/future clients, see if they
are legit. There are way too many people out there
slapping the label Trainer/Coach on their title &
completely messing with people’s health.
CSM: As a fitness and health enthusiast, what are the
essential exercises you have to do? Why is that?
SOPHIE: Mobility is a newly added must-do to my
routine, deadlifts, heavy hip thrust, lateral raises &
glute activation work!! When in prep cardio is a love/
hate must.
CSM: Do you have any gym etiquette advice for oth-
er people?
SOPHIE: Stay in your lane! Be courteous of people
around you but do you! I promise no one cares what
you are doing. Also don’t feel stupid if you can’t do
something...just ask someone. But always be respect-
ful of others.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does working out daily improve
one’s sexual stamina or prowess during sexual activ-
ity? Why do you say so?
SOPHIE: Myth. Working out excessively can actu-
ally have reverse effects on the desire for sexual ac-
tivity. I think a healthy balance will keep you more
energized and improve stamina to further enhance
it. Will working out improve it like waving a magic
wand? No.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does living a healthy lifestyle
keeps you happy and young? Why is that?
SOPHIE: I would say yes fact for sure! But modera-
tion is key once again. When you feel good, you’re
happy, when you’re happy, you age better, hence
keeps you feeling young.
CSM: If you are our health ambassador and a life-
style advocate, how would you help promote healthy
living in school or in corporate world?
SOPHIE: Show people that being healthy isn’t bor-
ing and the end of everything exciting in life. Explain
the benefits, long and short term effects, show them
how exciting living a healthy lifestyle can be, and
show them how confident it makes me feel. When
you feel good about yourself, and learn to love your
body instead of treat it like crap, the rest of life just
falls into place. You begin to change the game, and
succeed in every aspect of your life.
CSM: A lot of your followers are curious to know
these, if there’s any food and beverage that you can-
not resist what would that be and why?
SOPHIE: Burger and fries, Beer!! (Even though it
hates me) and Sashimi always.
CSM: Any advice to individuals who wants to gain
weight and lean muscle? Advise to people who want
to lose weight and be sexy?
SOPHIE: No matter what you do, do it slow and con-
trolled. Trust the process and know that it’s ok to slip
up. Tomorrow is a new day. Get all your macros in,
drink your water and keep pushing!
