CSM Game-Changer Issue with Cristiano Ronaldo 2019 GAME-CHANGER ISSUE - Heather Blackburn | Page 246
CSM: This is your feature debut to be on Center Stage
Magazine, what is the experience like when you are
included in our roster for 2019’s game-changer is-
sue?
KATHY: Well this is my first time being published
in a magazine, so I am very excited to see what op-
portunities it brings.
CSM: What do you think makes Center Stage Maga-
zine stand-out or makes it unique in other publica-
tions around the globe?
KATHY: What makes it so different is that it focuses
on real people that have normal day to day responsi-
bilities and careers.
CSM: What are the duties and responsibilities that
entail to your current profession or career?
KATHY: My career consisted of being a mom for
more than half of my life and now that my 2 sons
have grown, I have been able to engulf myself into
being more healthy and fit.
CSM: This year’s bimonthly edition is about going
for game-changing results in careers and individuality
and inspiring people (being a beacon of inspiration);
describe how did you exude your game-changing ex-
cellence and confidence in your career and what did
you do to push that boundaries
KATHY: My own journey consists of having many
ailments from chronic knee problems, arthritis, and
bone spurs in my back, becoming more physically
fit with my many problems that I face is how I try to
encourage others to excel past their limitations not
only in the gym but in life as well.
CSM: Being assertive and attentive is required for
this profession. Have you ever made or encountered
difficult decisions? How did you manage that?
KATHY: I am very new to this lifestyle and have not
faced many difficult decisions.
CSM: How do you handle the situation if people get
intimidated by you and your work?
KATHY: I try to stay positive and encourage every-
one.
CSM: What game-changing results do you look for-
ward this year?
KATHY: I would really like to continue with the
swimsuit avenue as much as possible.
CSM: Describe the person who made an impact in
your life and how that is significant.
KATHY: My trainer Eddie Palmer with Arouse
Health has held me accountable from day one and
the most significant part about it is that he was able
to do it without us ever meeting in person.
CSM: How do you set goals for yourself?
KATHY: Every day I try to be better then the day
before is what works for me.
CSM: What exactly motivates you to be a game-
changer and how do you do it?
KATHY: The fact that I am a normal person with nor-
mal problems is why I try to change the game with
my hard work and dedication.
CSM: Describe the true nature of being sexy and an
eye-catching individual.
KATHY: I have always felt that those 2 categories
have been in the eye and the opinion of the person
giving the compliment. What may be sexy and eye
catching to one person may not be to another.
CSM: The industry you are in right now is very fast-
paced, full of competition and full of talent and un-
avoidable politics at times. What makes you stand
out and how do you keep up with talented people
around you?
KATHY: I have always felt that the only person I am
in competition with is myself and that is why I chal-
lenge myself to be better each day.
CSM: Work-wise, what does it take to be successful
in this type of profession?
KATHY: Hard work and dedication just like in any
profession.
CSM: What is your great advice to those who will
venture this kind of work?
KATHY: Don’t expect it to be easy.
CSM: Cast a magic spell and wave your magic wand,
where do you see yourself ten years from now?
KATHY: On a beach drinking a Margarita! JK Seri-
ously I would like to think I would be working just
as hard as I do now.
