CSM: How do you keep yourself educated or updat-
ed for latest trends and information in healthy living
or lifestyle?
KALYNNE: I’m not really one to keep up with health
trends, fad diets never last long. I will say I’m always
down to try a new circuit or different lift to change it
up. I mix it up by lifting with friends and trading out
moves for muscle confusion.
CSM: How important is food and nutrition to you as
a model, athlete or as an individual?
KALYNNE: Nutrition is everything! You can work
our all day every day and get nowhere if you shovel
trash into your body. That being said, balance is im-
portant. When prep season is over, structure is highly
important, but you need to love a little!
CSM: Describe the essential skills to be effective in
maintaining your figure or shape.
KALYNNE: It all goes back to determination, hard
work can beat skill that’s isn’t exercised any day.
CSM: What are your ideas about non-organic food
versus organic?
KALYNNE: For the most part, organic and eating
clean go hand in hand. Clean fuel for your boast os
important.
CSM: What are your views on an all-meat diet versus
a vegan diet?
KALYNNE: To each their own. Veganism isn’t for
me.
CSM: What groups of food do you usually eat?
KALYNNE: mostly chicken and veggies, rice or po-
tatoes with a couple of my meals.
CSM: Do you think customized meal plans are really
necessary? Why is that?
KALYNNE: Meal plans should be customized based
on the athlete and the sport. Different bodies need
different nutrients (or amounts) to accomplish what-
ever goal is in place. That’s why having a coach or
nutritionist is highly important.
CSM: Any fitness goals for yourself? What are you
aiming now?
KALYNNE: Current goals are leaning out for sum-
mertime but try to build a bit more upper body. I have
a hard time growing shoulders due to an injury, so
that’s always a focus for me!
CSM: There are a lot of online coaches and lifestyle
advisers out in the market already, what are the fac-
tors that people should take into consideration when
hiring a personal trainer or online coaches or maybe
investing some time and money to them?
KALYNNE: Look at their clients, look at the time-
frames in which their bodies have changed. Do there
methods align with what you are trying to accom-
plish? Do they care about your health, or just a su-
perficial result? Don’t keep someone around who
doesn’t have your well being in mind.
CSM: As a fitness and health enthusiast, what are the
essential exercises you have to do? Why is that?
KALYNNE: Back day is my favorite, so cable rows
and single armed dumbbell rows are some of my fa-
vorites. An all around sting core is important, and un-
fortunately cardio… haha
CSM: Do you have any gym etiquette advice for oth-
er people?
KALYNNE: Be considerate, just like anywhere else.
Don’t do things like stand between someone and a
mirror they are using, and put your weights away!
CSM: Fact or myth? Does working out daily improve
one’s sexual stamina or prowess during sexual activ-
ity? Why do you say so?
KALYNNE: I suppose that depends on the person
CSM: Fact or myth? Does living a healthy lifestyle
keeps you happy and young? Why is that?
KALYNNE: Yes! A body in motion stays in motion
uses it or lose it!
CSM: If you are our health ambassador and a life-
style advocate, how would you help promote healthy
living in school or in corporate world?
KALYNNE: Promote healthy eating by minimizing
sugary snacks. My office delivers fresh fruit daily,
and I think that really helps. Also, fun things like
activity challenges: step contests, calorie burn com-
petitions. Get kids to put down electronics and go
outside.
CSM: A lot of your followers are curious to know
these, if there’s any food and beverage that you can-
not resist what would that be and why?
KALYNNE: It depends on the day, but it’s usually
pizza. Some days it’s cheap delivery and others it’s
something fancy. That’s usually my first cheat meal
and I think it’s because at that point I just want fat
and carbs… yum.
CSM: Any advice to individuals who wants to gain
weight and lean muscle? Advise to people who want
to lose weight and be sexy?
KALYNNE: For both, just do it the right way. Both
take time and hard work. Do your research, and sur-
round yourself with oriole who is achieving your
goals. And a great coach can really help you, you
don’t have to do it alone.
