CSM Game-Changer Issue with Cristiano Ronaldo 2019 GAME-CHANGER ISSUE - Heather Blackburn | Page 210
CSM: How do you keep yourself educated or updat-
ed for latest trends and information in healthy living
or lifestyle?
KACY: I follow some prominent athletes through so-
cial media. If something intrigued me then I research
the truth and utilize my medical knowledge to ensure
I make educated decisions.
CSM: How important is food and nutrition to you as
a model, athlete or as an individual?
KACY: Food is fuel... but I often fail at following my
own motto. I cave to sweets and all baked goods way
too often.
CSM: Describe the essential skills to be effective in
maintaining your figure or shape.
KACY: Diet, 100%. Training is the easy part for me.
CSM: What are your ideas about non-organic food
versus organic?
KACY: I don’t fret over it all.
CSM: What are your views on an all-meat diet versus
a vegan diet?
KACY: Whatever works best for your body type. I
believe in consuming meat as a protein source but
there is adaquate plant based proteins available to
sustain an athlete.
CSM: What groups of food do you usually eat?
KACY: Protein, veggies, fats (and cookies)
CSM: Do you think customized meal plans are really
necessary? Why is that?
KACY: Absolutely. Every body responds differently
to each macronutrient so until you know where sensi-
tivities and efficiency lies, you’ll spin your wheels.
CSM: Any fitness goals for yourself? What are you
aiming now?
KACY: I’ve competed in 5 NPC bikini division
shows. I have one planned for later this fall but am
currently working on getting bikini ready!
CSM: There are a lot of online coaches and lifestyle
advisers out in the market already, what are the fac-
tors that people should take into consideration when
hiring a personal trainer or online coaches or maybe
investing some time and money to them?
KACY: Check their reviews, follow all their social
media accounts and make sure there’s no negativity
around their name. See their transformations from
previous clients. Word of mouth referals are best if
you know someone currently with that coach/trainer
CSM: As a fitness and health enthusiast, what are the
essential exercises you have to do? Why is that?
KACY: Stairmater- not just cardio- but to build the
booty! It’s a must and my favorite. I went from pan-
cakes to peaches on my backside after consistency
with the stair master. Hip thrusters/bridging and
kickbacks for the booty too. Then shoulders and back
are my next favorite muscle groups to train. I keep it
simple- lateral, front, and rear felt raises for delts; lat
pull, low row and pull through for back.
CSM: Do you have any gym etiquette advice for oth-
er people?
KACY: Don’t stand in front of someone in the mir-
ror. Wipe off your sweaty equipment. Don’t overdo
the cologne or perfume before walking in the door
and wear your deodorant!
CSM: Fact or myth? Does working out daily improve
one’s sexual stamina or prowess during sexual activ-
ity? Why do you say so?
KACY: Sure! I have no problem in any area and nev-
er have. I’ve been an athlete my whole life.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does living a healthy lifestyle
keeps you happy and young? Why is that?
KACY: Absolutely! The chemical release during any
physical activities is unmatched to any supplement
you can take and eating healthy fuels your body and
mind in the best way possible. Think about putting
diesel fuel in a gasoline tank.. it won’t function prop-
erly very long. Same goes with your diet... you feed
you body junk, you’ll feel like junk. So eat a well
balanced diet and you’ll live happier and healthier!
CSM: If you are our health ambassador and a life-
style advocate, how would you help promote healthy
living in school or in corporate world?
KACY: I’d establish monthly challenges friendly
across the spectrum of fitness and available for ev-
eryone to participate in. I’d offer group fitness class-
es to be offered over a lunch hour or just before the
work day and have a digital bulletin sharing healthy
recipes amongst all staff.
CSM: A lot of your followers are curious to know
these, if there’s any food and beverage that you can-
not resist what would that be and why?
KACY: Cookies- specifically Oreos or fresh baked
chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, or peanut butter cook-
ies. I’ve often been called a Cookie Monster! Lol
CSM: Any advice to individuals who wants to gain
weight and lean muscle? Advise to people who want
to lose weight and be sexy?
KACY: Bottom line... good calories in vs calories
out, for both scenarios. Each one is tailored to specif-
ic ratios to accomplish the goal so get with a qualified
professional with proven results to reach your goals!
