CSM: What exactly motivates you to be a game-
changer and how do you do it?
DEBBIE: I like to win. Period. There is nothing
more motivating than competition and digging in
to be the best. I never quit. I never assume. To
win, you have to be determined and you have to
have heart in the game.
CSM: Describe the true nature of being sexy and
an eye-catching individual.
DEBBIE: Hmm, this is an interesting one. Sexy
comes from within. Sure, you can be physically
stunning but I think “sexy” is much more than
how a photo looks after it is taken. Sexy is con-
fidence that is captured; sexy is fire when a per-
son is completely ok with who they are and it
shows. When you are naturally beautiful, heads
turn. Being able to empower others that look up
to you, to bring with you the humility required in
those times, is absolutely everything. “To whom
much is given, much is expected.”
CSM: Work-wise, what does it take to be suc-
cessful in this type of profession?
DEBBIE: Confidence! You can have all of the
degrees available to you, know all of the data,
understand the industry but without the confi-
dence to execute, you will never soar. I have a
PhD in Global Economics. I had the education.
Until I found the confidence I needed to execute
decisions I was unable to take the training wheels
off of my career.
CSM: What is your great advice to those who
will venture this kind of work?
DEBBIE: Lean on other strong, smart women.
Find a mentor who will help you find the “mettle”
that is sitting just beneath the surface waiting to
be tapped that will propel you to your next step.
Network. Stay current in your industry,
CSM: Cast a magic spell and wave your magic
wand, where do you see yourself ten years from
now?
DEBBIE: Retired, letting my finances work for
me, and literally lifting weights on a beach some-
where.
