CSM Game-Changer Issue with Cristiano Ronaldo 2019 BODY ISSUE - Lauren Flodquist | Page 306
CSM: This is your feature debut to be on Cen-
ter Stage Magazine, what is the experience like
when you are included in our roster for 2019’s
Summer Body issue?
ROSE: I find the experience to be very flattering
and unexpected. I am honored.
CSM: What do you think makes Center Stage
Magazine stand-out or makes it unique in other
publications around the globe?
ROSE: It has a clean look, easy to read, and the
photography is amazing. Its current on fashion,
lifestyle, health & fitness, and advertisements on
the latest products.
CSM: What are the duties and responsibilities
that entail to your current profession or career?
ROSE: I travel frequently all over the U. S. to
work in hospitals and clinics, alongside physi-
cians, I teach them how to navigate through the
electronic medical records system (EMR) called
Epic, and how to document on their patients while
they are seeing patients. I also use my medical
and yoga teacher background to coach others in-
terested in developing a healthier lifestyle.
CSM: This year’s bimonthly edition is about
going for game-changing results in careers and
individuality and inspiring people (being a bea-
con of inspiration); describe how you defied your
limits and exude confidence in your career and
what did you do to push those boundaries.
ROSE: I have made a significant body transfor-
mation in the last year and a half. It took a lot of
dedication, discipline, determination, and consis-
tency to make those changes. Instead of making
excuses, I created solutions for obstacles (espe-
cially those that come with traveling for work). I
stick to my meal plan, workout twice a day, and
kept myself accountable. Through this journey, I
was able to inspire friends and followers, which
in turn inspired me to become a health coach.
There is nothing more rewarding than helping
others.
CSM: Being assertive and attentive is required
for this profession. Have you ever made or en-
countered difficult decisions? How did you man-
age that?
ROSE: As a Navy Veteran, I learned assertive-
ness and attention to detail during my service,
which has stuck with me through all these years.
Whenever I am stuck with a difficult decision, I
always try to think of a solution that is in the best
interest of others, and whether or not it is safe. I
think things through and remain logical, confi-
dent, and capable of making big decisions calmly
and rationally. Maybe my yoga helps with that,
too.
CSM: How do you handle the situation if people
get intimidated by you and your work?
ROSE: When I hear someone tell me they find
me intimidating, I always try to understand why
and let them know I am human, too. There is no
reason to be intimidated by me. I am as humble
and laid back as they come. I just work really
hard to get where I want to go.
CSM: What game-changing results do you look
forward this year?
ROSE: I look forward to transitioning into a full-
time Health Coaching career to help as many
people transform to a healthier lifestyle as I can.
I made the transformation, so this year, I will be
focused on pushing limits and taking it a step fur-
ther.
CSM: Describe the person who made an impact
in your life and how that is significant.
ROSE: My father died of Diabetes Type 1. This
impacted me and left a significant impression
on me and my thoughts on health & fitness.
I watched him live a miserable life and even a
more painful death. I never want to go out that
way. Although it is a sad story, it’s a story that
inspires me daily, to stay on my path, appreciate
the gift of life, and do all the things that make me
authentically happy, because in the end, I never
want to look back in retrospect and wish I had
done things differently.
CSM: How do you set goals for yourself?
ROSE: I think about the ultimate goal I want to
obtain, then set smaller goals that lead to the ul-
timate goal. Once I set my mind to it, there’s no
changing it. I make it happen.
CSM: What exactly motivates you to be a game-
changer and how do you do it?
ROSE: The excitement I get from the thought of
achieving my goals motivates me. I think about
what a wonderful journey life is and if I inspire
at least one person in this lifetime, I am doing
something right!
CSM: Describe the true nature of being sexy and
an eye-catching individual.
ROSE: Eye catching is more winning the genetic
lottery, or at the very possessing qualities that
many find attractive. It can be anything from hav-
ing a preferred body shape, facial features, eye
color, etc. Sexy is a different thing. Not entirely
unrelated, but still somewhat separate from pretty
or attractive. It’s an attitude, a way of presenta-
tion, self-confidence- all these things contribute
to what most people consider sexiness. Some-
times it’s a passive seduction. A look, a way they
carry themselves, something about
