CSM: How do you keep yourself educated or updat- ed for latest trends and information in healthy living or lifestyle? MIGUEL: Be willing to learn new methods, new techniques, and staying up-to-date with the latest re- search. It’s important to do different types of fitness classes and courses. CSM: How important is food and nutrition to you as a model, athlete or as an individual? MIGUEL: It’s the most important thing. A healthy and wholefood diet is the way I re-fuel after training, supports a strong immune system and overall wellbe- ing and energy. CSM: Describe the essential skills to be effective in maintaining your figure or shape. MIGUEL: Running skipping, boxing, high intensity training as well as Pilates and Yoga. I like to train all aspects of intensity. CSM: What are your ideas about non-organic food versus organic? MIGUEL: Organic is ideal, but it’s not always the most practical option for everyone. I recommended fresh procedure is best whether it’s non-organic or organic. CSM: What are your views on an all-meat diet versus a vegan diet? MIGUEL: Both are good, my belief is whatever makes you feel your best. And seek advice from a nutritionist before making any big changes to your diet. CSM: What groups of food do you usually eat? MIGUEL: Everything. I don’t major food major. I try to eat lots of vegetables and fruit with healthy sources of protein like fish and grass-fed meat. It can take the guesswork out of what to eat and give people structure CSM: Any fitness goals for yourself? What are you aiming now? MIGUEL: My current goal is to keep improving and better than I was yesterday CSM: There are a lot of online coaches and lifestyle advisers out in the market already, what are the fac- tors that people should take into consideration when hiring a personal trainer or online coaches or maybe investing some time and money to them? MIGUEL: Make sure there programme matches the goals you’re hoping to achieve. Also make sure the PT or the only coach practice what they preach. CSM: As a fitness and health enthusiast, what are the essential exercises you have to do? Why is that? MIGUEL: Personally for me it’s running, boxing, jump rope and high intensity and calisthenics. Helps me with endurance strength and stamina CSM: Do you have any gym etiquette advice for oth- er people? MIGUEL: Show up clean and get ready to sweat. CSM: Fact or myth? Does working out daily improve one’s sexual stamina or prowess during sexual activ- ity? Why do you say so? MIGUEL: Depends on the individual, you can be fit and doesn’t mean you’ll be a freak in the sheets. CSM: Fact or myth? Does living a healthy lifestyle keeps you happy and young? Why is that? MIGUEL: Fact. But in saying that there are people who don’t train or eat well and still live long looking great. For me, I personally think that a healthy life- style is a lifelong commitment. CSM: If you are our health ambassador and a life- style advocate, how would you help promote healthy living in school or in corporate world? MIGUEL: In school, educating the kids about the importance of eating the right foods and exercise. Teaching kids how to cook, portion sizes and were real comes from. Also, getting kids involved in team sports. CSM: A lot of your followers are curious to know these, if there’s any food and beverage that you can- not resist what would that be and why? MIGUEL: Peanuts M&M’s and Snickers, Jellies. My go to snacks when I want to treat myself. CSM: Any advice to individuals who wants to gain weight and lean muscle? Advise to people who want to lose weight and be sexy? MIGUEL: Both require hard work. Gaining weight generally will mean more calories in and a pro- gram that based around strength and conditioning to build muscles. Similar to someone that wants to lose weight, generally there’s a diet around a calories deficit, added cardio as well as strength and condi- tioning.
