and makes you feel like you are in good hands. A majority of my clients who end up choosing me tell me that they feel comfortable opening up to me, and were attracted to the client results they saw on social media or through word of mouth through a friend. I can post pictures of myself looking good all day long, but that does not al- ways encourage people to hire me as their trainer. They need to see results from someone they can relate to in that moment where they are at. CSM: As a fitness and health enthusiast, what are the essential exercises you have to do? Why is that? BRITTANY: It all depends on your goals. If you are a runner, of course you are going to incorpo- rate more cardiovascular training into your work- outs. If you are a dancer, you are probably going to incorporate more gymnast type workouts and flexibility training. For me as a bodybuilder, it’s about sculpting a symmetrical physique. I work out certain muscle groups on certain days to build strength and lean muscle mass, as well as cardio to enhance my endurance and burn more body fat. I think for anyone it’s good to incorporate both weights and cardio; the days and duration will vary from person to person. CSM: Do you have any gym etiquette advice for other people? BRITTANY: Rack your weights, don’t babysit machines, let people work-in with you if you are going to be on a certain machine for a while, wipe your sweat off the equipment, and don’t stare at people so much that it makes them uncomfort- able. CSM: Fact or myth? Does working out daily im- prove one’s sexual stamina or prowess during sexual activity? Why do you say so? BRITTANY: I mean, it can. Haven’t really no- ticed a difference for myself though. Maybe I’m not doing it right. CSM: Fact or myth? Does living a healthy life- style keep you happy and young? Why is that? BRITTANY: Yes it does. When you look good, you feel good. You feel good, you look good. You pick up what I’m putting down? CSM: If you are our health ambassador and a lifestyle advocate, how would you help promote healthy living in school or in corporate world? BRITTANY: Healthier food choices. I still cringe whenever I think about what they fed me for lunch when I was in school. CSM: A lot of your followers are curious to know these, if there’s any food and beverage that you cannot resist what would that be and why? BRITTANY: I love pizza. I can eat an entire large by myself, and then some. Sushi is a close sec- ond. I also really love cheesecake. Peanut butter is my weakness. CSM: Any advice to individuals who want to gain weight and lean muscle? Advice to people who want to lose weight and be sexy? BRITTANY: Whatever your goals, you have to be consistent. Results do not come over night, in a week, or sometimes even in a month. For fat loss, ideally you want slow and gradual changes. This will make it more likely for you to maintain those results. Do not crash diet! It will mess up your metabolism and you might even gain more weight back than you did before. Muscle also takes time to build. Give every workout your all and just be patient. Don’t forget your rest days! Above all else, don’t compare yourself to others. Everyone is different, and we all have to start somewhere.
