CSM: This is your feature debut to be on Cen- ter Stage Magazine, what is the experience like when you are included in our roster for 2019’s Summer Body issue? TARA: Ecstatic!! I have been an athlete my whole life and have only done two photo shoots to capture all of my hard work and have a little fun. So, being picked up for such a magazine is pretty epic! CSM: What do you think makes Center Stage Magazine stand-out or makes it unique in other publications around the globe? TARA: From what I have seen thus far it appears that you aim to find real people. Not just people who may model or perform at the elite level. You keep it grounded in hopes of motivating every- one to continue to strive to be better. CSM: What are the duties and responsibilities that entail to your current profession or career? TARA: Currently I work supporting the Military vessels for the United States Navy. I am one of thirteen offices in the World that ensures all Sail- ors and Marines have some sort of fitness areas on their vessel as well as any recreation equipment they may need to keep up their morale while out to sea for long periods of time. CSM: This year’s bimonthly edition is about going for game-changing results in careers and individuality and inspiring people (being a bea- con of inspiration); describe how you defied your limits and exude confidence in your career and what did you do to push those boundaries. TARA: Being a Veteran, and having worked aboard a Naval Aircraft Carrier as a Civilian Fit- ness Specialist I have had to learn how to make things exciting and impactful with very little resources. I was working with 5,000+ individu- als to motivate them to take better care of them- selves and implement better habits. That was game-changing for me on a whole new level!!! Now I get to ensure they have what they need to get closer to those goals. CSM: Being assertive and attentive is required for this profession. Have you ever made or en- countered difficult decisions? How did you man- age that? TARA: I have made difficult decisions. It is not easy because I do tend to look at it from the hu- man aspect, and professionally we often have to make decisions that are for the greater good of the company. I tend to look at everything from all angles and then go from there. CSM: How do you handle the situation if people get intimidated by you and your work? TARA: If I know about it, I try to talk it out. I do have a strong personality and that is hard for people sometimes, but I can’t change me. I was raised to work hard and own your position. Com- munication is the best way to navigate this type of situation. CSM: What game-changing results do you look forward this year? TARA: Professionally I want to ensure the 72 vessels my office supports can maintain a solid physical fitness regime while deployed for Mili- tary Operations. Personally, I want continue to gain strength and gain confidence in my lifts. Practice and patience leading to phenomenal re- sults! CSM: Describe the person who made an impact in your life and how that is significant. TARA: My mother was a three-time cancer sur- vivor and raised me with the motto to live life fully. Every. Single. Day. That is not always easy and we forget as we fall into the mundane rou- tine of life. Heeding her advice pushing me to be better, accomplish more, and strive to impact as many people as I can on my path in this crazy life. I love hard and seek adventure daily. This results in a very positive and happy life. CSM: How do you set goals for yourself? TARA: I usually start with how the accomplish- ment of that goal will make me feel. If it’s some- thing I have feared, then I try to find a way to overcome it. If it is a physical goal, then I tend to find an event to help set a date to work towards. I try to always find new goals to set for myself because I feel like they keep me moving forward and continuing to be a better human. CSM: What exactly motivates you to be a game- changer and how do you do it? TARA: I am an all in sort of girl! You present me with a problem, I am going to find a way to the solution. If it seems like that the way to the solu- tion isn’t the best, I am going to find a way to im- prove it. I want to leave this Earth one day being remember for being passionate and motivated to accomplish anything! CSM: Describe the true nature of being sexy and an eye-catching individual. TARA: Confidence. There is nothing sexier than someone owning who they are and how they look.
