CSM: How do you keep yourself educated or updated
for latest trends and information in healthy living or
lifestyle?
RICK: I’m fortunate to have friends in the field I can
go to for advice and help. The internet is also full of
information for those willing to search.
CSM: How important is food and nutrition to you as a
model, athlete or as an individual?
RICK: A healthy diet is crucial to achieving any fitness
goals.
CSM: Describe the essential skills to be effective in
maintaining your figure or shape.
RICK: Being informed, knowing your body, remaining
consistent, and constantly pushing yourself.
CSM: What are your ideas about non-organic food ver-
sus organic?
RICK: I prefer organic but it’s not a deal-breaker for
me if it’s not.
CSM: What are your views on an all-meat diet versus
a vegan diet?
RICK: I’ve always liked meat. I can’t imagine going
without it!
CSM: What groups of food do you usually eat?
RICK: Pretty much everything! I love food, and I’m
not a picky eater. I simply try to eat healthy, but other
than that I don’t have other restrictions.
CSM: Do you think customized meal plans are really
necessary? Why is that?
RICK: Yes. Everyone is different. A different approach
is necessary for different goals.
CSM: Any fitness goals for yourself? What are you
aiming now?
RICK: Add a little size while remaining lean. I also
want to work on bettering my flexibility.
CSM: There are a lot of online coaches and lifestyle
advisers out in the market already, what are the factors
that people should take into consideration when hiring
a personal trainer or online coaches or maybe investing
some time and money to them?
RICK: Do your research! Make sure your coach is cre-
ating a plan designed for YOU and not some cookie-
cutter scam.
CSM: As a fitness and health enthusiast, what are the
essential exercises you have to do? Why is that?
RICK: Core exercises in general. A strong core is im-
portant to overall fitness, not to mention it looks sexy!
CSM: Do you have any gym etiquette advice for other
people?
RICK: Be considerate of others. Nobody likes waiting
a long time for equipment, or getting on a sweaty ma-
chine.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does working out daily improve
one’s sexual stamina or prowess during sexual activity?
Why do you say so?
RICK: Fact! In my experience, working out daily im-
proves everything! It makes you feel more energetic,
more confident, and in turn it should improve your sex
life.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does living a healthy lifestyle
keeps you happy and young? Why is that?
RICK: Fact! Exercise release endorphins which result in
energy and better mood. It is crucial for staying healthy
and live a longer, happier life. As you get older, it re-
duces the risk of developing conditions and disabilities,
allows for increased mobility and flexibility, etc.
CSM: If you are our health ambassador and a lifestyle
advocate, how would you help promote healthy living
in school or in corporate world?
RICK: I would encourage them to create programs to
remove unhealthy foods/drinks from schools or office
settings, and create social fitness groups to support and
motivate each other.
CSM: A lot of your followers are curious to know these,
if there’s any food and beverage that you cannot resist
what would that be and why?
RICK: I actually love burgers, pizza, and sushi! Because
junk food, unfortunately, actually tastes so good!
CSM: Any advice to individuals who wants to gain
weight and lean muscle? Advise to people who want to
lose weight and be sexy?
RICK: Be patient! Results take time. Consistency is
also crucial. Limit alcohol consumption. Eat well! Its
ok to cheat occasionally, but diet will always be one
of the most important factors. And don’t measure your
success by the number on the scale. Your body com-
position can change dramatically but your weight may
not.
