CSM: How do you keep yourself educated or updat-
ed for latest trends and information in healthy living
or lifestyle?
MIGUEL: Be willing to learn new methods, new
techniques, and staying up-to-date with the latest re-
search. It’s important to do different types of fitness
classes and courses.
CSM: How important is food and nutrition to you as
a model, athlete or as an individual?
MIGUEL: It’s the most important thing. A healthy
and wholefood diet is the way I re-fuel after training,
supports a strong immune system and overall wellbe-
ing and energy.
CSM: Describe the essential skills to be effective in
maintaining your figure or shape.
MIGUEL: Running skipping, boxing, high intensity
training as well as Pilates and Yoga. I like to train all
aspects of intensity.
CSM: What are your ideas about non-organic food
versus organic?
MIGUEL: Organic is ideal, but it’s not always the
most practical option for everyone. I recommended
fresh procedure is best whether it’s non-organic or
organic.
CSM: What are your views on an all-meat diet versus
a vegan diet?
MIGUEL: Both are good, my belief is whatever
makes you feel your best. And seek advice from a
nutritionist before making any big changes to your
diet.
CSM: What groups of food do you usually eat?
MIGUEL: Everything. I don’t major food major. I
try to eat lots of vegetables and fruit with healthy
sources of protein like fish and grass-fed meat. Cheat
meals are a must on the weekend
CSM: Do you think customized meal plans are really
necessary? Why is that?
MIGUEL: It depends on the individual. It can take
the guesswork out of what to eat and give people
structure
CSM: Any fitness goals for yourself? What are you
aiming now?
MIGUEL: My current goal is to keep improving and
better than I was yesterday
CSM: There are a lot of online coaches and lifestyle
advisers out in the market already, what are the fac-
tors that people should take into consideration when
hiring a personal trainer or online coaches or maybe
investing some time and money to them?
MIGUEL: Make sure there programme matches the
goals you’re hoping to achieve. Also make sure the
PT or the only coach practice what they preach.
CSM: As a fitness and health enthusiast, what are the
essential exercises you have to do? Why is that?
MIGUEL: Personally for me it’s running, boxing,
jump rope and high intensity and calisthenics. Helps
me with endurance strength and stamina
CSM: Do you have any gym etiquette advice for oth-
er people?
MIGUEL: Show up clean and get ready to sweat.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does working out daily improve
one’s sexual stamina or prowess during sexual activ-
ity? Why do you say so?
MIGUEL: Depends on the individual, you can be fit
and doesn’t mean you’ll be a freak in the sheets.
CSM: Fact or myth? Does living a healthy lifestyle
keeps you happy and young? Why is that?
MIGUEL: Fact. But in saying that there are people
who don’t train or eat well and still live long looking
great. For me, I personally think that a healthy life-
style is a lifelong commitment.
CSM: If you are our health ambassador and a life-
style advocate, how would you help promote healthy
living in school or in corporate world?
MIGUEL: In school, educating the kids about the
importance of eating the right foods and exercise.
Teaching kids how to cook, portion sizes and were
real comes from. Also, getting kids involved in team
sports.
CSM: A lot of your followers are curious to know
these, if there’s any food and beverage that you can-
not resist what would that be and why?
MIGUEL: Peanuts M&M’s and Snickers, Jellies. My
go to snacks when I want to treat myself.
CSM: Any advice to individuals who wants to gain
weight and lean muscle? Advise to people who want
to lose weight and be sexy?
MIGUEL: Both require hard work. Gaining weight
generally will mean more calories in and a pro-
gram that based around strength and conditioning
to build muscles. Similar to someone that wants to
lose weight, generally there’s a diet around a calories
deficit, added cardio as well as strength and condi-
tioning.
