CSM Game-Changer Issue with Cristiano Ronaldo 2019 BODY ISSUE - Lauren Flodquist | Page 210
PERSONALITY
AND IN-DEPTH PERSONALITY
CSM: This is your feature debut to be on
Center Stage Magazine, what is the expe-
rience like when you are included in our
roster for 2019’s Summer Body issue?
LAUREN: It was definitely a wonderful sur-
prise and a humbling one as well. The cover
is a remarkable place to start with CSM!
CSM: What do you think makes Cen-
ter Stage Magazine stand-out or makes it
unique in other publications around the
globe?
LAUREN: I love that its real people in vari-
ous stages in their life. When it comes to fit-
ness, well-being, and inspiring others, CSM is
a wonderful representation of that and more.
CSM: What are the duties and responsi-
bilities that entail to your current profes-
sion or career?
LAUREN: Oh my goodness! I could seri-
ously write a long paragraph here. I know
that it’s been said I have the work load of 4
people. I’m helping to build a brand that is a
startup so I have stepped up and filled a need
that we had in field marketing. My boyfriend
has stated that I’ve “scaled a company” in
my efforts in the field and my CEO has stated
I’ve “built a business within a business”. I
have become obsessed with always doing bet-
ter, week by week, and I can honestly say I’ve
used my competing and body-building back-
ground tenacity towards the business world.
My territory has been number one for a con-
secutive 8 months and it’s actually triple the
national average with one of my biggest ac-
counts. It’s all nerd talk at the end of the day
but the best name to call it is, “Boss Babe
Moves”.
Basically I run and manage a team of people
who do events and demos for our product. I
built relationships with the tiers of manage-
ment at 35+ stores, soon to be over 100 for
just one retailer. I will be duplicating that
process with several other national retail-
ers. I’ve built features and negotiated re-
tail space. I schedule, personally train, and
maintain 24/7 communication with my team
of over 20+ people. I figured out on my own
through experience and detective work, how
the entire system works behind the scenes and
then built my own system to coincide with my
retailers’ systems. I could go on and on… It’s
been an adventure for sure!!
CSM: This year’s bimonthly edition is
about going for game-changing results in
careers and individuality and inspiring
people (being a beacon of inspiration); de-
scribe how you defied your limits and ex-
ude confidence in your career and what
did you do to push those boundaries.
LAUREN: I think a big part was I had zero
training for my position. I literally had to
create my own system, my own team, my own
rules. I had to learn as I went along. When-
ever I came across an obstacle, I figured out
what I needed to do to overcome and I just
did it. I didn’t have anyone to go ask… I just
took everything into my own hands and ran
with it. It’s been exhilarating and impactful
for sure.
CSM: Being assertive and attentive is re-
quired for this profession. Have you ever
made or encountered difficult decisions?
How did you manage that?
LAUREN: I don’t think I’ve ever had a prob-
lem being assertive. I am one of those no sugar
coating, get straight down to business people.
Difficult decisions will always be there; it’s
how one handles them. I try to remain calm
and use my wisdom to handle them. Most of
the time my gut always leads me to make the
right decision.
CSM: How do you handle the situation if
people get intimidated by you and your
work?
LAUREN: This happens a lot in the world,
not just the business world. To be honest once
someone talks with me and senses my char-
acter and personality, the intimidation usu-
ally goes away. If anything, respect takes its
place. I just shine my positivity on them and
then take their own positive light and reflect
it back on them.
CSM: What game-changing results do you
look forward this year?
LAUREN: Honestly, I’m excited with what
I’ve done but more so I’m looking forward
to seeing what other boundaries I can break
past and find new mountains to conquer. One
can never be satisfied; there’s always going
to be new goals, new needs, and more people
to help.
