Rainaud Continues to Set New Records
A
dam Rainaud, Assistant Professional at Black Hall Club in Old Lyme, made Connecticut
Section PGA history in 2014 when he became the first PGA Member to win five individual
championships in a single season. This year, he will go into the records books again as the first ever
to win both the Connecticut PGA Championship and the Connecticut Open in the same year. In addition,
he won his fourth consecutive, sixth overall, Connecticut PGA Assistant Championship. He is also the
winner of the Spring PGA Stroke Play Championship, the Connecticut PGA Professional Championship,
and is the Assistant Player of the Year and Section Player of the Year three years running. Congratulations
on another great year, Adam.
Connecticut Section PGA Expands South Glastonbury Office Space
T
he Connecticut Section PGA, one of 41 sections of The PGA of America,
moved its headquarters to Glastonbury, Conn., in 2014. This year, the
office space has been expanded to include the lower level of the adjacent
building. The additional space will accommodate the needs of six staff members
and additional seasonal interns during the summer months. There is also room for
Board and Committee meetings and to meet with sponsors and business affiliates.
Both offices, which are designed with wooden ceiling beams and stone fireplaces,
are decorated with old world golf shop aspects for a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
