Championship Quick Facts
Eligibility: Amateur competitors for this year’s championship must have an active USGA handicap at a CSGA
member club not exceeding 6.4, while professional competitors must either reside in Connecticut, be employed at
a CSGA member club, or be a member of the Connecticut Section PGA.
Qualifying: The championship field is limited to 150 players, with 94 of those players gaining entry through one
of six 18-hole qualifiers. The remaining 56 players are exempt from qualifying based on the criteria set forth by the
CSGA Competitions Committee.
What’s at Stake: The championship is contested over 54-holes of stroke play, with 150 players vying for the title.
Professionals will be playing for a total of $50,000, the highest purse in championship history, with the champion
taking home a winner’s check of $12,500.

Monday, July 27th - First Round of Stroke Play (18 Holes)
Tuesday, July 28th - Second Round of Stroke Play (18 Holes)
**The low 40 players including ties will advance to the final round on Wednesday, July 29th. Starting times will be reassigned following
the cut based on scores with the leaders teeing off last.
Wednesday, July 29th - Final Round of Stroke Play (18 Holes)
The player with the lowest 54-hole total will be declared the champion
