Introduction to Figure Drawing (Ages 11-15) NEW TO SATURDAY SERIES!
Students will learn the basics of figure drawing while honing their observational drawing
skills. Students will work from live clothed models and learn how to capture gesture,
foreshortening, proportions, and basic anatomy, including skeletons and muscles. Basic
planes/forms of the human figure and techniques to capture the action of a pose with
various mediums will also be explored. It is recommended that students have a basic
understanding of drawing skills and an interest in improving their technical drawing skills.
This class is great for students interested in animation, illustration, and character design,
or those looking to build their portfolios.
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Musical Theatre (Ages 9-12)
This fun exploration class will engage students’ imaginations, teach teamwork through
collaboration, build confidence, and help young actors find their creative voice. Mirroring
the curriculum taught at OCSA, this class will provide a fun-yet-disciplined approach to
the process of developing fundamental skills through training in acting, singing, and dance.
While this class will culminate in a short demonstration for parents, students’ primary focus
will be learning the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing through the creative
process.

Musical Theatre Audition Technique (Ages 11-15)
This musical theatre workshop will allow students to build a repertoire of audition material
and develop professional audition skills that can be widely applied. This class will give
young actors the edge they need for a more successful audition, as well as provide a sneak
peek at the business of casting theatrical productions.
Time: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
