Memorial Meeting ; Release of Book on Com . Jaswantha Rao – A Revolutionary Intellectual Fighter
We all know that Com . Jaswantha Rao , the CEC Member , the Editor of Party Organs , Janasakti ( Telugu ), the Class Struggle and Secretary of T . N . Memorial Trust was affected by Covid and as a consequence , he breathed his last on Sept 27 , 2020 in Hyderabad . There is some delay in holding this Memorial Meeting because of Covid conditions . With all precautions , the AP State Committee of CPI ( ML ) held the Meeting on Oct 20,2020 at M . B . Bhavan , Vijayawada , A . P .
Firstly , at 11-0 am , Com . Madhu , the CECM paid a floral tribute to Com . Jaswantha Raos ’ photo . Later , the CCMs , SCMs of the CPI ( ML ), the responsible Comrades from various mass organizations , the representatives of other Parties , the family members of Com . Jaswant and democrats laid the flowers and paid their tributes .
Com . K . Kishore Babu , the Member of APSC invited the Speakers onto the Dias . Com . S . Jhansi , the leader of APSC has presided over the Meeting .
At the outset , on behalf of the APSC , Com . S . Jhansi has proposed a Resolution of Condolence focusing on the finer aspects of Com . Jaswantha Rao ’ s prolonged political life and journey . She recollected Com . Jaswant ’ s commitment and dedication . The participants of the meeting observed a 2-minutes silence in memory and respect of Com . Jaswant . The peoples ’ artistes sung revolutionary songs recalling the sacrifices of Martyrs .
Then , Com . Madhu , the CECM released the book , Comrade Jaswantha Rao – A Revolutionary Intellectual Fighter ( in Telugu ) brought out by the APSC . He paid revolutionary tributes to Com . Jaswant on behalf of the CC and Com . Viswam , the General Secretary of the Party . He said : Com . Jaswant 24
adopted Marxism as the Guiding Ideology for his revolutionary practice as well as life . He held the orientation that we are a part of the past Communist Movement , we must own and continue its revolutionary traditions and values by learning from its positive and negative experiences . Com . Jaswant analyzed the concrete economic and political developments in the method and style of Com . T . N . He shouldered the editor ’ s responsibilities of Party Organs for four decades in 50 years of his political life . Referring to the present crisis – ridden political situation , Com . Madhu said that the Indian rulers are pursuing the policies of sell out to the imperialists and big bourgeoisie . Succumbing to the US imperialists , they are tying our Country to the chariot wheels of US strategy for domination . They are scuttling the voice of people through fascist type of suppression and using various methods to divert the people ’ s attention from their basic policies . In this situation , intensifying the struggles on basic issues and moving the people into a wider and united movement against the anti-people and antidemocratic policies of the Indian rulers is need of the hour . In conclusion , Com . Madhu called upon the Comrades to continue the struggle of Com . Jaswant for the change of system and realize the aims for which he laid down his life .
In his talk , Com . G . Vijaya Kumar , the CCM said : We hoped to see Com . Jaswant recovered from the Covid effect , live and continue the work of revolutionary movement for 10 or 15 years more . But , belying our hopes , Comn . Jaswant has met with untimely demise . This has drowned me and all our
