Raise Voice against Jahangirpur Demolition
The Modi-Shah clique has engineered one more ghastly attack on the minorities at Jahangirpur , Delhi . It started with a Hanuman Jayanti “ Shoba Yatra ” on April 16 when the Bajrang Dal and VHP organised a procession disobeying a police order . The Bajrang Dal , VHP goons attacked the houses near a mosque and started beating up people of minority communities . The police remained passive onlookers . The youth of the minority community resisted . Next day the ‘ brave ’ Delhi police who remained silent onlookers started arresting minority community youth under the express order of Amit Shah . Under the tutelage of Amit Shah , Delhi BJP Chief announced a demolition programme of the houses of minorities
The public sector is people ’ s wealth . PSUs had been developed through the hardship of the people . This people ’ s wealth is being handed over to corporates and Multi-national companies by Central and State governments by violating the constitution on which rulers promised to follow . Public sector is constituted through people ’ s struggles . People fought for Visakha Steel plant by sacrificing their lives and so on .
Andhra Pradesh cabinet decided to handover Sri Damodaram Sanjeevaiah Thermal Power station ( SDSTPS ) at Krishnapatnam of SPSR Nellore district to private companies like Adani for 25 years of lease . SDSTPS is worth of Rs . 21,000 crore , being leased without paying single paisa . Its like occupying of ants ’ mounds by snakes . In the name of losses , the steps of privatisation of SDSTPS are taking place . These steps would force the SDSTPS into fire out of the frying pan . The employment of nearly 2,000
24 around the mosque under the pretext of illegal construction . Democratic citizens immediately rushed to the Supreme Court to stop the demolition programme . The Court took up the case passing an interim order to stop the demolition activities till the matter be heard . But Modi-Shah clique paid no heed to it and asked the police to carry on demolition since the court order did not reach the Delhi police by then though MP Brinda Karat reached the place and showed the order . Hundreds of houses of very poor toiling people were razed to the ground by bulldozers and payloaders . The intention of the Modi-Shah clique is clear from the fact that not a single goon who attacked the minority houses was arrested . But NSA was
employees and workers , would be at risk . They will be forced on to the roads . Rights of the workers would cut down . Wages and other facilities will not be implemented properly . Their job security and working conditions become like candle in the wind . Their livelihood becomes worse . If power generation goes into the hands of corporates , consumers of the power would be effected by abnormal increase of power charges , the future of the industries and people ’ s lives goes into the hands of corporates . It is detrimental to the Indian people . Power became an essential item . If the corporatisation of crucial sectors of industries takes place , dependency of the country would be increased more and more . There will be no safety to the country if the power crisis continues .
The farmers gave 1,500 acres of land at lowest rate of compensation to establish SDSTPS by sacrificing their livelihood . They were promised launched against many of the minority youths arrested . This pre-planned agenda of ruling classes , perpetrating communal hatred and tensions at hundreds of places from Kashmir to Karnataka , is to divert people ’ s anger over its economic and political crisis . We , on behalf of the CPI ( ML ) call upon the democratic masses of India not only to defend and save themselves from such attacks but also to raise voice against them anywhere . The only way forward against these fascist type attacks is to advance the working class and peasant movements all over .

that they would be given employment . But it was not fulfilled properly . Still , they are waiting for employment . Already employment given to some of these families would be removed by private or corporate forces .
The workers of Maithan Alloys Company in Bobbili Growth Center of Vizianagaram district , are agitating and demanding that the new management should give employment to the local and old workers and should lift over the illegal cases on workers and leaders .
The SDSTPS is generating power at less cost than a private company nearby “ Andhra Pradesh State Power Employees ’ Joint Action Committee told that instead of trying to privatise SDSTPS , the government could operate it at a Plant Load Factor ( PLF ) of more than 85 percent , by ensuring timely supply of coal and taking other measures that would improve efficiency . It pointed out that the man - to - megawatt ratio of SDSTPS ( 0.2 ) was far below the global standards .”
