and established socialism , firstly in Soviet Union under the leadership of Lenin and subsequently in China under the leadership of Mao-Tse-Tung . After the establishment of Soviet Union , many East European countries became socialist states . Under the leadership of Stalin the Soviet people valiantly fought against German fascist invaders of Hitler and defeated the fascist menace .
The socialist states established by the working-class have been progressing with unprecedented speed in all fields of human endeavour , erasing hunger , poverty , exploitation and inequality . The socialist world proved to be the best system of living for the entire humanity .
After the Second World War , US emerged as a highly developed capitalist state . It took up the leadership of capitalist world . Under the guidance of USA imperialism continued its attacks on socialist world , particularly against Soviet Union and people ’ s republic of China . During the course of time America became not only a super power , but also the leader of imperialist countries . Imperialism in its pursuit to grab the world markets became more and more aggressive ; causing wars and instability throughout the globe by charging the rulers of various countries to suit the imperialist interests . As the leader of world imperialism , American imperialism took up the task of destroying the socialist world and establish its hegemony throughout the world . With all sorts of machinations in all spheres , the US imperialism spread the antisocialist and anti-communist venom , successfully dislodging the socialist world in East European countries and cause the collapse of Soviet Union . From 1981 , US became the sole global super-power and the US imperialist triumphalism held many .
The world capitalism imposed neoliberalism of globalisation on the entire world , in the pursuit of the international capital and financial capital to gain super profits proclaiming that there is no alternative to capitalism ! However the economic great recession of 2008- 09 and its continuance , proved and
May - 2022 exposed the failure of neo-liberal capitalism , that it cannot and will not be the ideal system for the prosperity and well-being of humanity . During the epoch of neo-liberalisation , global hunger , poverty levels have grown , inequality abnormally increased , global unemployment raised to abnormal levels . The health and educational deprivation has increased considerably . Global destruction and misery of people had increased to devastating proportions . Neo-liberalism instead of saving the people from the devastation

of Covid-19 to its latest version of Omicron , has facilitated the giant pharma corporations and international capital to loot super-profits and to amass and accumulate their wealth at the cost of the death of more than 55,00,000 lives . Neo-liberalism proved to be a total failure .
Neo-liberalism , to come out of its repeated economic crises , has thrown its burden on the entire working-class of the world . It attacked the rights of workers . It attacked the wages of workers . It attacked the Trade union rights of workers . It attacked the pensions ( savings ) and pension rights of workers . It attacked the labour laws and made them multified or ineffective , removing the law protections achieved by the working-class , through their long , sustained struggles and sacrifices . And particularly the neo-liberalism and its adherent regimes attacked and betrayed the working-class on its very right of ‘ 8hrs working day ’ achieved by the workers of the world , with the inspiration of May Day and relentless struggles . Now the workers and employees are made to work for more than 10 hrs up to 13 hrs a day including in the highly projected affluent IT industry . Workers and employees are reduced in to ‘ modern slaves ’ and are being exploited of their labour power ruthlessly and inhumanly by the neo-liberal capitalism of imperialism of 21 st century .
The living and working conditions of the workers of our country too is reduced in the same way as described in the above para . More than 93 % of the work force in India is in informal and unorganized sector without any legal protections , rights and social welfare benefits . The labour laws are codified in to labour codes removing the workers ’ rights and protections . The workers movement once during the British rule and during the period of national independence movement , has reached to the level of conducting political struggles and conducting militant struggles , today it is weakened due to various reasons and is unable to protect at least the legal rights and economic benefits of the workers . No doubt the present day workers movement claims to have been conducting national wide strikesbandhs every year from 1991 till today . But these strikes became ritualistic exercises than strikes with vigor and determination to resist and protect the attacks more against the working-class by the big-capital and neo-liberalism .
Infact even in various European countries like Greece , France and Germany and in US , the workers have been protesting against wage cuts , pension cuts , liberalisation of labour laws curtailing the workers rights , benefits cuts , in African and Asian countries like Bangladesh , Sri Lanka , Vietnam workers have been agitating for their economic demands and betterment of living and working conditions . But those protests , agitations , strikes , etc . are mostly of sectoral , regional and of local interests but are not concerted struggles against capitalism , neo-liberalism and imperialism . There activities are not being coordinated on international scale with the orientation of international working-class solidarity with the aim and purpose of fighting against imperialism and fascism . Indian Working Class should fight against feudal and capital exploitation and religious fanaticism and culture .
This weakness of not concerted struggles in the working-class movement internationally and in various countries is one of the causes to the resurgence and revitalization of fascist and reactionary groups and
