AIFTU( New) AP State Conference Call Upon the People

Worker – Peasant Unity and Collective Struggles of Democratic Forces can Change the Society!

The All-India Federation of Trade Unions( New) [ AIFTU( New)] successfully conducted its State Conference of AP over two days, with massive participation from workers, peasants, and representatives across Andhra Pradesh. As part of the State Conference, a massive demonstration was held on December 8,2025, at 4:00 p. m. in Guntur town. The demonstration started from Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram and moved through the streets of the town with workers’ slogans filling the route, before reaching Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram.
Public Meeting
At 5:00 p. m., the public meeting commenced at Ballari Raghava Open Air Theatre( Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram) with performances by folk artists, including drum dances and Kolatam.
AIFTU( New) State Treasurer Comrade D. V. N. Swamy invited the speakers onto the dais. The meeting was presided over by State President Comrade Ganesh Panda. Dr. Kolla Rajamohan, President of the Conference Reception Committee and leader of Nallamada Farmers’ Association, welcomed people who came from across the state and wished for the successful conduct of the conference. AIFTU( New) Central President Com Gurram Vijay Kumar addressed the gathering, stating that the government had repealed 44 labour laws and introduced four labour codes, aiming to reduce workers to bonded labour. He called upon workers to wage struggle against these measures as in past struggles. Rythu Coolie Sangham( Andhra Pradesh) State President Com S. Jhansi stated that to eliminate casteism, communalism, and inequalities, workers and peasants must organize and struggle together. Workers should unite with the peasantry and other allied sections. Shahi, AIFTU( New) State Secretary Com Jasti Kishore Babu, OPDR State Secretary Com V. Hanumantha Rao, IFTU State President Com N. V. Krishna, Rythu Coolie Sangham( A. P.) State Joint Secretary Com Ulligaddala Nageswara Rao, and Rythu Coolie Sangham( A. P.) State Treasurer Comrade S. Lalitha Kumari. Delegates’ Session – December 9, 2025 On the second day, prior to the session, State President Comrade Ganesh Panda hoisted the flag in a serious atmosphere symbolizing workers’ commitment. 24
AIFTU( New) State Treasurer Comrade D. V. N. Swamy presented the condolence resolution for martyrs. Tributes were paid to Com C. Peddanna( former State President), Comrade Sony, Com Jaswanth Rao( editor of Janasakthi and Class Struggle), Com Madhu( Central leader of All India Khet Mazdoor Kisan Sabha), Maoist Party Secretary Nambala Keshava Rao, Central Committee Leader Hidma, Central, State, and Division Committee leaders killed in fake encounters, workers who died in industrial accidents, and people who died in natural calamities. The resolution was unanimously adopted.
Comrade P. K. Shahi addressed the delegates, reflecting on the present condition of the working class and emphasizing the need for political consciousness. He stated that working class alone cannot achieve change; only through worker – peasant unity and collective struggles can a democratic society be achieved. He also highlighted that AIFTU( New) has been working in this direction since 2011.
State President Comrade Ganesh Panda spoke on the current national situation, criticizing imperialist exploitation and the call for foreign investment in the name of industry. He stressed that AIFTU( New) can achieve democratic revolution and people’ s liberation only through joint struggles of workers and peasants. He also said that the conference reviews past programs and charts future tasks.
Com C. Vijaya( Stree Vimukthi Sanghatana State President), Com N. Bhaskar( PDSO State President), and Mr Divi Kumar( Jana Sahithi State President) have given their fraternal messages.
Comrade Ganesh Panda explained the manifesto. State Secretary Com Jasti Kishore Babu presented the Secretary’ s Report on the activities from 2017 conference until now which was unanimously approved by the delegates. Election of the New Committee The following were elected to the new State Committee: State President: Comrade Ganesh Panda, State Secretary: Comrade Jasti Kishore Babu, State Treasurer: Comrade D. V.
