This all-India party had convened the first Congress of Party congress in Bombay from 23 rd May to June 1 st 1943 . Membership at that time was 15563 .
PC Joshi was elected the general secretary of united CPI . Prior to this Congress in 1936 PC Joshi was elected as General secretary of CPI from plenary session of the CC .
Then onwards second , third , fourth , fifth , and sixth congress were held in 1948 , 1954 , 1956 , 1958 , 1961 respectively .

Under the gig system , the middle class as customers can dominate and control the workers in the process of their evaluation and ratings . At present , the demand for gig workers from the middle classes is on the rise . This will negatively affect the self-employment sector . It is necessary to examine the clashes and conflicts between auto drivers and the drivers of app companies like Uber , Ola and Rapido . It is important to note their mutual confrontation will not solve the crisis of unemployment . In addition , the earnings will decline . The opposition parties also will not come forward to raise this serious issue . The working class must be consolidated and should fight collectively for the building of socialist structures that ensure decent livelihoods for all .

Right from the beginning there exist two lines inner party struggle inside the Indian communist party .
We have witnessed splits , and also splits within the splits . Even today among the CR groups the tendency of disunity is the order of the day .
Under such a situation we need to address the problem objectively .
Now the question is where to begin ? Remembering that our fundamental task is to disseminate Marxist-Leninist politics among the masses of people ; remembering that in the life of revolutionary the authority is revolution itself and not the revolutionary party .

This is how our political , social and economic system of governance of India is under the rule of comprador capitalist ruling class and the rulers subservient to foreign ( imperialist ) capital with out never arise solely from ideological struggle , nor by a decree , nor through discussions , nor in meetings . Such ideological struggles , decrees , decisions , and meetings requested by all revolutionaries , are not struggles at all ; they reduce to mere phrase-mongering . Hence the relation between the revolution and the revolutionary party must be understood .
Under such a situation we should be very objective and practical for our own position and work . We should modestly assess our work , our exact strength , our weaknesses , and mistake . W e should notice and objectively accept the fact that we are not part of which can alone be revolution or leave the moment to the victory . We should under take self-critical approach and adopt a practical and objective steps so that we can overcome our weaknesses and adopt programme in the light of our own mistakes on weaknesses and our organisation . Therefore we should adopt a rectification campaign to change our attitude . �
