Amazon India Workers Demand for Minimum Labour Rights
Since few years the largest e- commerce company in the world , Amazon is witnessing Unionization efforts in its warehouses in the western countries . Now workers in Amazon India warehouses are also trying to unionize and are demanding minimum labour rights . Amazon is one of the ‘ best companies to work with ’ for white collar Jobs . But for the blue-collar workers the situation is entirely opposite .
Thousands of Amazon India warehouse workers are enduring extremely difficult conditions at the warehouses . They have to process 240 items per hour , 10 hours a day . The ‘ generous ’ 30-minute lunch break is actually only 10 minutes due to the long queues and punching systems . During the extreme summers this year in Manesar fulfilment center , workers are made to take oaths not to take toilet breaks or drink water , to achieve
� for her peaceful construction , and no security for peace in the Far East or throughout the world . To infringe on other countries ’ sovereign rights , to occupy their territory and to interfere in their internal affairs is to endanger world peace , while the Chinese people ’ s just struggle for the liberation of Taiwan and against the aggression of the United States is to safeguard world peace . On August 11 , 1954 , the Central People ’ s Government of China called on the whole nation to struggle for the liberation of Taiwan and bring to a victorious conclusion the sacred cause of national liberation . In response to this call , all the democratic parties and people ’ s organizations of China issued a joint statement on August 22 , declaring solemnly to the whole world that Taiwan was a part of China ’ s territory , and that the Chinese people were determined to liberate Taiwan . This was a 16 production targets . The nature of work is contractual , denying job security and benefits like gratuity . Workers stand for hours with no seating arrangements , there are no proper restroom facilities for women leaving them vulnerable to physical and emotional distress . Accidents are frequent and workers are treated as replaceable . If your right hand is injured , the manager asks you to work with left hand or lose the day ’ s wage .
For years now , Amazon warehouse workers and delivery executives have raised their voices through peaceful protests , but their cries have been ignored . They are facing systemic exploitation and violation of basic human rights . They formed Amazon India W orkers ’ Union and are making the following demands now : Demands : 1 . Minimum monthly salary of Rs .
25,000 for all warehouse workers .

To prepare for the liberation of Taiwan and to safeguard peace , the Chinese People ’ s Liberation Army had launched fierce attacks on the positions of the Chiang Kai-shek troops on Tachen , Quemoy and Yikiangshan Islands from November 1954 onwards . Yikiangshan Island was liberated on January 19 , 1955 and Tachen Island on February 13 . These victories were of great significance for the final liberation of Taiwan and fully testified to the fact that no force was strong enough to obstruct the Chinese people in their just struggle for the liberation of Taiwan and other islands off the mainland .

It appealed to the patriotism of all the responsible military and administrative personnel of the Kuomintang in Taiwan and called on them to help bring about the peaceful liberation of Taiwan .
