Nevertheless , look for the Panthers to remain as one of the younger teams in District 8-4A-II . The Panthers ’ home for the next two seasons includes Carthage , Center , Brownsboro , Rusk and Van . Four of those five teams qualified for post season play in 2021 , with Van leading the charge by going three rounds deep , while Carthage and Rusk advanced to the Area Round . The Bears from Brownsboro were bi-district finalists .
Head coach Scott Callaway has crafted a difficult non-district schedule for the Panthers which has Bullard set to face Mabank , Caddo Mills , Quinlan-Ford and Mineola , respectively . That group went 33-14 last season .
If Bullard can avoid injuries in key positions , the Panthers could be in the playoff chase come late October .
