One of the most common questions we are asked is “When is the best
Time to Cruise to which destination?” As simple as the question seems
it takes great knowledge of the itineraries available in these regions to
be able to correctly answer this question for our clients. The network
of WorldWide Cruise Centre professionals are well equipped to give
you the right answers.
For example, Alaska in the summer months of June to August is quite
a busy destination with peak capacity. Consider travelling in one of
the shoulder periods when the destination can still be rather beautiful
though prices of airfares are more affordable and the cost of
cruises are often reduced. In September, Alaska is different and truly
beautiful with its array of changing autumn colours, the vegetation
thinning and the wild life being most active in preparation for winter.
Of course there are many factors that influence the time of year
you choose to travel and if you find it necessary to travel in a period
of peak capacity then it is wise to book well in advance to avoid
disappointment. One might also consider selecting a cruise that
departs mid week rather than the weekend. Peak demand on one
way cruises often relates to the direction of travel– for example with
Alaska cruises that head South are less popular (for some odd reason)
so you may want to take this into consideration when booking a
cruise.
