Celebrity Cruises Unveils New Partnerships Celebrity Cruises has announced partnerships with the American Ballet Theatre and Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud, bringing a host of new opportunities for guests. “Our guests know to expect something unique, upscale and unexpected each time they step onboard. By partnering with American Ballet Theatre and the world’s leading culinary authority, Daniel Boulud, we are creating experiences that won’t just meet those expectations — but shatter them,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises. “I cannot think of better partners than American Ballet Theatre, who will bring the best classical dance experience on board, and Chef Daniel Boulud, a chef that all other chefs admire and respect for hospitality, creativity and excellence both in the kitchen and dining room” said Brian Abel, SVP, Hotel Operations, Celebrity Cruises. The new experiences with both American Ballet Theatre and Chef Boulud will begin rolling out across the fleet in 2019, starting with Celebrity Summit, then Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Millennium. Great Lakes Grand Discovery and French Canada and Great Lakes Victory Cruise Lines, committed to small-ship cruising on the North American and Canadian coasts, is highlighting the line’s first two itineraries since joining American Queen Steamboat Company. Operated by the leader in U.S. river cruising, the sailings on the 202-guest M/V Victory I and M/V Victory II cruises on all five Great Lakes and the Canadian Maritimes are a refreshing alternative to ocean cruising. Victory Cruise Lines will begin its upcoming season in May 2019 with a 10-day sailing on M/V Victory I between Toronto and Chicago and a 10-day sailing on M/V Victory II between Montreal and Detroit. Both elegant small ships have been designed to cruise along magnificent coastlines, through scenic seaways and inland lakes navigating hidden harbors and more remote ports of call. Included shore excursions are led by knowledgeable guides providing opportunities to uncover the rich history and culture of the Great Lakes region. “Our goal with Victory Cruise Lines is to deliver a small ship experience with the same authenticity and passion for service that exists with our luxurious riverboat fleet,” explains John Waggoner, chairman and CEO of American Queen Steamboat Company. “We look forward to bringing our award-winning experience to these northern waters and celebrating the beauty of this bountiful region.” Make it a Christmas to Remember Paul Gauguin Cruises has announced a special offering for the 2019 festive season with the luxurious Tahiti & the Society Islands voyage departing 21 December and 28 December 2019. Paul Gauguin Cruises’ trademark 7-night cruise is the perfect introduction – or reintroduction – to the picturesque charms of the South Pacific, destinations of which played muse for author James A Michener, painter Paul Gauguin, and many others. This is the perfect voyage for couples, families, and friends wanting to experience a relaxing Christmas in 2019. An incredible week traversing the South Pacific allows guests to slow down and let stress melt away during the busiest time of year. Floating in crystal clear lagoons, wandering through lush rainforests, and exploring local villages is encouraged and celebrated onboard the m/s Paul Gauguin. Beginning in Papeete, Tahiti, the islands of Polynesia are a gorgeous collection of volcanic atolls strewn across the grand Pacific Ocean, and the island of Tahiti is the largest of all 118. Before embarking on the voyage, guests have the opportunity to explore the dynamic dining, nightlife, and shopping in the capital city. As the voyage progresses, travellers indulge in the lush rainforests of Huahine, known as ‘The Garden Island’, discover the vanilla-scented shores of Taha’a, and delight in the white-sand beaches, technicolour coral reefs, and romantic lagoons of Bora Bora. This incredible sojourn visits the beautiful Moorea, before returning rejuvenated guests to Papeete after 7-nights of leisure. www.worldwidecruisecentres.com.au 19
