Over 150 of our residents
and staff gathered to
celebrate International
Women’s Day in
Croydon on 5 March.
In 2000, we developed 14 houses on the corner of Dominion Road
and Dartnell Road, with a car park in the centre. But over the years
the car park became a hot spot for fly tipping and noise nuisance.
So we spoke to nearby
residents and, as a
result, took action to
close it down and submit
plans to redevelop the
space into new homes.
We’ve worked with
Cablesheer Construction
and Pellings to deliver
four one bedroom flats.
All speakers discussed the
enormous strides made in
achieving women’s equality
and challenged audience
members to continue breaking
through glass ceilings. The
defining message was
“believe in yourself”

We’re proud to have delivered new homes to the Croydon
area and given an unwanted space a new lease of life!
Four affordable homes for rent have been built at
Dominion Road after a consultation with our residents.
We held the event, which
celebrated women’s
achievements in the
community and workplace,
at our Grosvenor House
office. The event featured
inspirational speakers,
world music and dance,
a comedy act, and food
from around the globe.
