About The Author :)

God's Song

I don't know how I would live without music. Life would be so boring without it! Music comforts me, it speaks for me when I can't put my heart into words, it gives me crazy joy, and even helps me with my creative writing! (strange I know, but true ;)

A Tantalizing Twist

Thing is, in our day and age, music can do exactly the opposite of what I've just said. God gave us music to soothe our souls, speak for us, and give Him praise. But Satan has taken that beautiful gift and twisted it in a hideous way so that he can use it against us.

Most popular music these days is no longer about God; it's about being cool, warm fuzzy feelings, and broken dreams. And while some of the music has a cool sound and we think we don't care what the words are, those gift-wrapped lies are still making their way into our spirits. They're hurting us, even if we don't realize it.

The Lies vs. The Truth

Now my lovely girls, you may well be wondering,

"How can this be hurting me? It's not bad music!"

No, it's not..... if you're careful! But think about what it's saying to you:

You need a boyfriend to measure up.......... you're not pretty enough...... you have to be cool!......... your dreams can never come true.......

You don't need a boyfriend to measure up! God is the One that tells us we're beautiful, and only He has perfect love to give us. You are absolutely beautiful!!! God made you; did you think He made a mistake? Well He didn't.

What IS cool these days? To dress immodestly, be constantly texting on the latest version of the iPhone, dumping your boyfriend every month or so for someone "cooler," and it only gets worse. Doesn't sound too great, does it? It's so sad to see girls trying to make themselves and others believe that they're good enough, when only Jesus can really see what they are worth, and wants to tell them.

Your dreams CAN come true. God places sweet, precious dreams in all of our hearts, and He really will bring them to life. He has a perfect plan for each one of us, and if you trust Him to lead you along your personal path that He prepared, He will fulfill it.

It's a balancing act!
