"Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say that you must not eat from any tree in the garden?" The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'"
(Genesis 3:1-3)
Why would God create something so beautiful, so appealing, so attractive, and not allow Adam and Eve to partake in it? The beautiful apple, of course, caught the attention of Adam and Eve, but they were specifically told not to eat from that tree. Did God mean they could never eat from that tree? Or did He mean that they were not to partake of it at that time? It could be that He wanted them, in their obedience to Him, to wait until the right time - His perfect timing, to experience this tree and then it would be even more amazing and worth the wait.
In the story of Snow White, the evil Queen, who was Snow White's step mother, had one purpose. She was seeking to devour or to kill Snow White, just as the serpent was seeking to devour and destroy Adam and Eve. Like the serpent, the Queen did not approach this situation with something unattractive. She approached it with something beautiful, something eye grabbing; an apple.
The serpent told Eve that she would not surely die if she partook of the forbidden tree. “For God knows that when you eat from it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:5.
"When Eve saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, Adam, who was with her, and he ate it. Then their eyes were opened, and they realized they were naked, so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves." (Genesis 3:4-7)
Snow White was destined for greatness. She was royalty. She was a princess. There was a wonderful prince out there ready to sweep her off of her feet. But what happened before that? The Queen tempted her with a beautiful apple. Just "one bite" from this apple and her life was changed.
Just like the evil Queen, the devil comes in all shapes and forms. He takes something and presents it as a delight, turns it into a distraction, which ultimately turns out to be a disaster. The Queen knew it would only take "one bite" to poison Snow White's mind and body. The devil knows it only takes "one bite" of temptation to poison our minds and bodies as well. Snow White didn't have to eat the whole apple to recieve the consequences of her actions. Adam and eve only took "one bite" and it changed their lives for ever. Their eyes were opened. They didn't see greatness, they didn't gain power, they simply entered into sin.

So many people are tempted to take just "one bite" of sin. One of the most popular areas of sin temptation is sex. God created sex, and it is meant to be beautiful. For single people though, God says to stay away from sex. Don't go near it, don't touch it, don't even take "one bite" of fornication. So, why would He tell those who are not yet married to stay away from it? Because God created sex for a sole purpose. He had a specific plan. He created sex for the sole purpose of marriage. God created this great and wonderful gift for us, but in order to receive the full intimate
