I have to admit, I am a die-hard Disney lover. I grew up watching the wonderful shows and movies that Disney put out. They were magical and full of wonder; full of characters who overcame their struggles, broke out of their shell, and did something amazing.
Who doesn’t want to be amazing?!
As I grew older and I thought about the things I loved, and considered my dream job...okay, you may laugh, but I decided I would LOVE to be a Disney Princess. Like seriously. I love to make people happy and give a constant, warm smile. I love hugs, and dressing up as if I were going to a Ball.
The only thing I was missing to fullfill my Disney Princess dream was the amazing voice – which is kind of a biggie. I didn’t really think it was something I was supposed to pursue. Though, the thought of it made me smile – to be a Disney Princess.
Well, it’s amazing how God has shown me, especially the past year, that I don’t have to strive to be anyone else. I am amazing in His eyes, and I will do amazing things when I let God steer my life. I’ve had things to overcome. I’ve had to break out of my shell. I’ve had to learn that I already am my own princess. I didn’t always see things this way. I thought my life was kind of ordinary, humble. Yet, God had some wonderful things to teach me about how He can use the most ordinary to do the extraordinary.
