Meet Melody

Her favorite Disney Princess is Belle. Some of her very favorite things about life include taking naps on the warm sand, the sound of crashing waves, little tiny Elephants, suchi, new shoes, things that sparkle, and going new places. She is wonderstruck by how ginormous and unconfined space is.

I ask Melody to describe her personality.

"'I'm a pretty well-rounded person. There aren't too many things I excel in, but I like to dabble around in various activities. My eclectic personality allows me to have plenty of diverse interests. I love to explore, and try and learn new things. I'm a bit of a dare devil too. There are so many wonderful things in life that I've yet to discover. My bucket list is far too long!

I'm sort of a "what you see is what you get" type of person, and yet, there are so many layers to

my personality. I'm really honest and genuine. I love hard, and I try to make people feel like someone cares. I'm shy, but I try my best to make others feel comfortable and welcome around me. I'm sweet, but I've got a spicy side for sure. I like to think I'm kind of funny too. I'm a bit of a nut though. I believe in laughing a lot. It's one of my favorite things to do!"

Melody's dad, a dedicated servant of God, went to be with the Lord shortly before she was born. Her life as a child wasn't always easy, but the Lord was always faithful to provide for her family!

"Reflecting on my own struggles that I've been through and seeing firsthand all the things weighing down the young girls of this generation, is provoking to me. The level of depression, confusion, hopelessness, insecurities and so on is worsening before my very eyes. If the Lord could use me to make a difference in just one girl's life, that would have made everything worth while.."

Melody is passionate about reaching young girls through Becoming Esther Ministries.

"I feel that pursuing my calling through Becoming Esther is His will for my life. He continuously leads me and shows me how he wants to use me. The important thing is being obedient to do what He has asked of me to do."

Melody distinctly remembers a nerve-wrecking time when God asked her to do something WAY outside of her comfort zone...on the other side of the ocean!
