See, God is a whole lot bigger and more capable than we are, thus He is more fit to handle these things. He replaces them with things like His peace, His reassurance, His care, and His love. When His children are hurt, He is hurt. He longs to give us the good things we can find in Him because He does not want us carrying around unnecessary weights. He invites us to be free of negative thoughts, so that they are not negatively affecting our lives. It is part of His character because He is our Father, and not just any Father, but our perfect Father.

Following each of the above verses, we find out about more of who God is, and what will happen as a result of bringing these things to Him.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

emotional, mental, or spiritual, but a battle is a battle, and no matter what kind it is, we need to be prepared so that we are able to win!

When we lay down our chaos, we pick up His serenity. When we lay down our confusion, we pick up His clarity. When we lay down our anxiety, we pick up His comfort. When we lay down our fear, we pick up His courage.

Pausing to take a deep breath is good, and praying is even better. However, there is one last thing that I cannot express to you how important it is. You can probably guess it: Reading the Bible.

w to live our lives. But did you know that the Bible is a weapon? Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Word of God is alive and active; sharper than any double-edged sword.
