“I always have one initial

criteria that that I look at

before considering a girl as a potential spouse. What is her language like? Is it vulgar or condescending? If yes, then strike she’s out. If no then I go down the “checklist” of other things that I pay attention to. What kind of work ethic does she have? Is she patient with people? Can she help me defend the family physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually? Physical appearance is somewhat important, but is nothing compared to a young woman’s character. I know two girls who are, according to the social/worldly standards, rather attractive. However, one swears like a sailor and the other whines and complains about literally everything. It’s not enjoyable to hang out with them. So while physical looks are important, to me it is even more important to be with someone who is emotionally and mentally healthy. Girls, find your value in God and focus on that relationship and He will bring a gentleman to you. You want a person who brings out the best in you. As of right now I am not in a relationship because I am focused on finishing college with two degrees in aviation. To me, right now, it is more important to plan for a stable future (i.e. be able to support a family with a full time job) then it is to have a girlfriend. Anytime you fill a void with someone or something that should be filled with God, it hurts you and others. You are worth a healthy relationship that will make you happy.”
