Most people don't know this about me, but I've had a strong vision for the land of China since I was a little girl. I remember holding my grandpa's hand when I was 5 years old, looking up into his eyes, telling him that someday I would be a missionary to China. It's something that has never left me!
My grandfather who was an unusual prophet- was called to the land of Tibet. He had the same heart and love for China/Tibet!
The Lord gave him a vision and a promise, that one day He would send him to that nation. But it wasn't until 47 years later, at the age of 70, the Lord fulfilled His promise and sent my grandfather. He went against all odds. Doctors begged him not to go and his reply would always be, "I don't think you understand, I have a mandate from God."
You see, my grandfather was very ill with congestive heart failure, diabetes, ect., but God kept him.
His story has always inspired me because he was truly a living testimony of God's faithfulness! It has encouraged me to keep holding on to the vision that the Lord breathed in my Spirit at the tender age of 5 years old.
Here I am 15 years later, and my vision for the land of China is stronger than ever.
I have had so many words given to me, that have only confirmed what has been in my heart all a long. At times I tell people my desire to be a missionary to China and the common responses I get is, "Don't you know how dangerous it is?" or, "It's a communist, filthy nation. Definitely not a place I want to go."
