Jesus Lives IN You
As Jesus hung there for us, with each wound to His body, our every sin was being sucked up into His entire being. That means, when He died, our sin died, because our sin was upon Him. Not only that, a great exchange happened that day.
Do this real quick…..ball your hands into fist. Now, open them. Keep your hands opened. That’s what happened on the Cross. You handed Jesus your old sin nature, and with your hands open, He gave you Him, His righteous nature. Wow! What a miracle! What an exchange!
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
This is great….does it get any better than this? Yes it does! Get this sister – He made His home with you. Jesus could have chosen anywhere and anything to be His home. Yet He chose you. God the Holy Spirit dwells within YOU! This means, RESURRECTION power abides in you at this very moment.
Ephesians 1:18-21 speaks of this great news:
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms. (emphasis is mine)
You, my friend, YOU, are a miracle! At Salvation, the same power that raised our Lord from the grave came to live in your spirit. That tells me that you can accomplish anything through His strength and power within you.
What are your dreams? Jesus lives in you. Go fulfill them. You already carry the ability in you (God Almighty) to get 'er done! It is possible.
You can increase your GPA. You can pass your Math class. You can pray for that girl who seems so jealous of you. You can go to college and finish with your degree in hand! By the grace of God, your marriage can work out. You can write that book to inspire others in their walk with the Lord. You can start your business (great business idea by the way, don’t let your friend talk you out of it). You ARE empowered to serve the Lord with that awesome mission opportunity.
You can! You can! You can! You are, you are, you are! You are in Christ and He is in you.
Where you go, He goes. What you are called to do, He will do for you! I can’t is no longer part of your vocabulary. You are a NEW you, with an “I can do” attitude….the only kind of attitude you are allowed to have!
I believe your life will be a testament to the power of Jesus alive and active in you, and through you. Now…the question is…..DO YOU BELIEVE?
Rejoice sister, you are a MIRACLE!
