an unshakable faith (Ephesians 6:10). Out of all these, faith is the most vital when being single and maintaining hope. Faith will keep you from bitterness. Faith will remind you that Jesus sees you as His beautiful one (Song of Solomon 2:1-17), and that He will not withhold anything good from you (Psalm 84:11).

After I sulked for a little bit that Kip Moore didn't notice me, I bucked up, looked at myself in the mirror, asked my Savior to reveal to me what He sees in me and waited. Waited, not for a guy, but for the Lover of My Soul to show me the beauty He sees within me. Instead of asking men or parents or friends for affirmation, ask Jesus. I promise, He will be faithful. Just ask.

There's something enchanting about stepping into the mall and inhaling air sprinkled with that “new clothes” smell. Your favorite song is dancing on the radio airwaves, which puts you in the perfect mood to shop. You step into your favorite store, and a neon display of items is begging to find a home in your closet.

You're a glitter girl. You adore spending money on makeup, getting your nails done, and pretty much

anything that sparkles, shimmers and shines. As girls, we love glitter gloss, perfume, high heels, hairspray and items that make us feel like we're sprinkled in pixie dust. But who can blame us? Who can resist stylish scarves, Chanel bags, bow rings, and the catchy song pumping out of Aeropostle?

There's something spectacularly satisfying about exiting your favorite store with pink bags of goodies. A girl can get a rush from finding the perfect pair of shoes. Just ask Cinderella!

The Urge To Splurge

I still remember my first trip to the mall. It was my eighth birthday. I proudly strutted down the narrow aisles that felt like a runway. My plaid purse hung over my shoulder. I held Mom's hand so I wouldn't get lost in the sea of shoppers. I was so ready for this. Loaded with birthday money, my anticipations were high. I had seen Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen display the aura of amazingness which happens to every girl when she enters a mall. She instantly becomes cool.

I was never really interested in glitter and high heels, until I started watching every Olsen twin movie I could rent from the video store. Like stunning flashes of strobe lightning, I suddenly saw the image of two beautiful girls with flawless faces, dressed in the hottest jeans. The girls looked calm, cool and crazy confident. They were surrounded by friends, dancing with funky music and having the time of their lives. How could I not want that?
