What is your favorite memory as a teacher ? Dr . Linares : “ The best memories a teacher can ever have is when they see the light come on when a student is starting to understand something . When they get it and get excited , you start to realize that you are making a difference . I don ’ t care if it ’ s math , reading or science , whenever the light comes on and they get it , it ’ s the best feeling you can have as a teacher .”
What advice do you have for new teachers ? Dr . Linares : “ Have a passion for what you do . Realize that every single day you have as a teacher , you ’ re making a difference in the life of a child .
