Education Foundation awards grants to fund new ideas in our classrooms
The Chisholm Trail Education Foundation awarded more than $ 30,000 in innovative teaching grants to Crowley ISD educators during employee convocation in August .
The foundation was created to provide opportunities for excellence in education , promote innovation in teaching and partner with the community to enhance the quality of education of all students in Crowley ISD .
Foundation president Bonnie Barksdale said the board of directors was proud to help fund nine different projects submitted by employees from across the district .
“ We are excited to watch how these grants will be used to directly benefit students ,” Barksdale said . “ Our goal is for the Chisholm Trail Education Foundation to award even more grants in the future and our board of directors is working hard to raise funds to make this happen .”
The foundation is hosting a pair of fundraising events this fall . The 11th annual golf tournament will be Oct . 22 at Whitestone Golf Club . On Nov . 5 , there will be a 5K run / mile fun run that will start and finish at North Crowley High School . Visit www . CTEFforCISD . org for more information .
