CRVL announces team awards for 2016 season

The Crow River Valley Leauge announced its team awards at the October meeting. Team’ s Most Valuable Player and Team‘ s Pitcher of The Year were announced, as well as the CRVL Most Valuable Player and the CRVL Pitcher of The Year.
Mayer Blazers: Jordan Berrios was named the team’ s MVP for the season. Berrios batted. 316, while driving in 13 runs. He also led the teams in doubles, with six.
Cole Buttenhoff was named the team’ s Pitcher of The Year. Buttenhoff posted a 2- 1 record with a 2.85 ERA. He also led the team in strikeouts, with 38.
New Germany Dutchmen: The New Germany Dutchmen selected Hayden Meyer as their team MVP. Meyer was also named the team’ s Pitcher of the Year. Meyer was a workhorse in 2016 for the Dutchmen. He worked 54.2 innings, while posting a 3-4 record with an ERA of 4.77.
St. Boni Saints: Mike Dabu was selected as the MVP for the St. Boni Saints. Dabu hit. 415 and led the team in RBI, with nine.
On the mound, the Saints named Adam Nichols their Pitcher of The Year. Nichols posted a 4.55 ERA in 31 innings of work for
Aaron Bigaouette was named the MVP for the Green Isle Irish in 2016. Bigaouette hit. 455 with two homeruns and 14 RBI.

Patrick Tschida was the Watertown Red Devils MVP and Pitcher of The Year in 2016. Tschida hit. 451 with seven doubles at the plate. On the mound, he posted a 1.41 ERA in 51 innings of work.

Watertown Red Devils: Patrick Tschida took home both the MVP and Pitcher of The Year award for the Watertown Red Devils. Tschida was a force to be reckoned with at the plate and on the mound.
At the plate, he posted a. 451 batting average while tallying seven doubles and a team-high 10 RBI.
On the mound, Tschida was the ace for the Red Devils. He posted a miniscule ERA of 1.41 in 51 innings of work, while striking out 42 batters. Tschida was drafted by the Winsted Wildcats for their state tournament, giving them great innings of relief for Tony Kley.
Winsted Wildcats: Matt Elsenpeter made his prescence felt in his first year as a Wildcat. Elsenepter batted. 421 and led the team in homeruns( 3), doubles( 6), and RBI( 12). In his first at-bat as a Wildcat, Elsenpeter homered, so his team named him the MVP.

Pitcher of The Year for the Wildcats. Tony Kley was once again dominant all year long. Kley posted a league-best 0.26 ERA in 34 innings pitched. Kley helped lead the Wildcats to the final weekend of the state tournament.
Kley was also named the CRVL Pitcher of The Year, and was also a member of the Class C State Tournament All-Tournament Team.
Carver Black Sox: Marc Ulrich was named the team’ s MVP and Pitcher of the Year for the Carver Black Sox.
Ulrich batted. 229 and was tied for the team lead in doubles, with four. On the mound, he posted an incredible 0.94 ERA in 57 innings of work while posting a 6-2 record.
Cologne Hollanders: The Cologne Hollanders named Anthony Brenner their team MVP. Brenner hit. 293 in 2016, with 10 RBI and two homeruns.
Alex Meeker was named the team’ s Pitcher of The Year. He was second on the team in innings pitched with 28. He was also second on the team in strikeouts with 15.
Waconia Lakers: Chris Bullis took home the honor of team MVP for the Region 7C champions Waconia Lakers. Bullis led the team in homeruns, with two, while batting. 351.
Kody Simon was named the team’ s Pitcher of The Year. Simon worked 40 innings in 2016, posting a 5-0 record with an ERA of 2.03. He also led the team in strikeouts, with 40.
Young America Cardinals:
Youngster Bryce Panning was named the Young America Cardinals team MVP. Panning led the team in homeruns( 3) and RBI( 16), while posting a. 429 average.
On the mound, Troy Kohls was named Pitcher of the Year for the Cardinals. Kohls worked 37 innings and posted a 1.67 ERA. He was also second on the team in wins, with three.
Brownton Bruins: Ryan Grams was honored as the team MVP for the Brownton Bruins. Grams and his offensive play helped the Bruins reach the state tournament. He batted. 310 in 2016, with a team-high 17 RBI.
