He went four innings, allowing seven runs off of seven hits. Waconia 13, New Germany 0 Sat., July 9 Ryan Naughton and the Waconia Lakers handed the New Germany Dutchmen a 13-0 loss in seven innings. Naughton went 2-for-5 in the win with three RBI and two doubles to lead the way for the Lakers. Eric Olson notched the win. He went six innings while allowing just ﬁve hits. Shannon Storley led the way for the Dutchmen with a double. Steve Mielke took the loss, allowing 10 runs in four innings of work. Watertown 6, New Germany 5 Sun., July 10 The Watertown Red Devils held on for a 6-5 win over the New Germany Dutchmen this past week. After leading 4-0 early, the Dutchmen tried to rally back, but the Red Devils were able to hold on. Andrew Nichols got the win for the Red Devils on the mound. He went six innings, allowing three runs off of six hits. Ryan Hangartner, Mitch Kelzer, and Brenden Weege led the way with two hits each. For the Dutchmen, Shannon Storley led the way. He had a home run and drove in two runs in the loss. Gross went 2-for-5 in the win with three RBI, a double, and a homerun to lead the way. Sam Warner also drove in three runs for the Black Sox. Mark Ulrich picked up the win on the mound. He went eight innings, allowing two runs while striking out seven. For the Cardinals, Brice Panning led the way with a double and two RBI. Cologne 14, Mayer 4 Winsted 4, St. Boni 1 Sun., July 10 Kyle Brazil’s big day at the plate propelled the Collogne Hollanders to a 14-4 win over the Mayer Blazers. Brazil went 2-for-5 with four RBI, a homerun, and a double to spark the offense for the Hollanders. Kyle Twait got the win on the mound. He went four innings, allowing two runs off of ﬁve hits. Brady Malberg led the way for the Blazers with two hits and a run scored. Glencoe 6, Brownton 1 Sun., July 10 Jamie Paumen’s gem on the mound led the Glencoe Brewers to a nice 6-1 win over the Brownton Bruins. Paumen threw all nine innings, allowing just one earned run while giving up just two hits and striking out nine. Brody Bratsch and Paumen had nice days at the plate, each driving in two runs. For the Bruins, Brad Daak and Ryan Grams had the lone two hits in the loss. Grams also was tagged with the loss on the mound. He went seven innings, allowing six runs off of eight hits. Carver 9, Young America 2 Sun., July 10 Garret Zander’s big day at the plate led the Wildcats to a 4-1 win over the St. Boni Saints. Zander went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI to lead the way for the Wildcats. Jake Volness was masterful on the mound in seven innings of work. He allowed just four hits and struck out four. For the Saints, Mike Dabu scored the lone run of the game for his team in the top of the ninth inning. Cologne 3, Hamburg 0 Tues., July 12 Alex Meeker and his ﬁne pitching performance led the Cologne Hollanders to a 3-0 win over the visiting Hamburg Hawks, Meeker threw a complete game shutout, allowing just four hits while striking out eight. The Hollanders had a balanced offense as Kyle Twait, Carter Clemensen, and Kyle Brazil each drove in one run. The Hawks were held to just four hits in the loss, and Tim Willems was tagged with the loss despite pitching well. He went eight innings, allowing three runs off of ﬁve hits. Sun., July 10 Anthony Gross was a one-man wrecking crew as the Carver Black Sox handed the Young America Cardinals a 9-2 loss.
