Young America took the unbeaten Lakers into extra innings before Waconia got away with a 4-3 decision .
The Cardinals scored once in the first with Waconia getting two . Then the teams reversed it in the sixth – two for YA and one for Waconia .
The 3-3 score then held until the Lakers walked off in the bottom of the 11th .
Josh Lenz went six innings for Waconia and Eric Olson the final five , getting the win . Aaron Cook started and went five for the Cardinals , allowing 11 hits but only three runs . Troy Kohls had 5 1 / 3 strong innings in relief .
Offensively , Craig LaPlante did the most damage going 3-for-6 with two RBIs . Kodey Simon , Jeremy Salden , Ben Smothers , and Nick Litfin all had two-hit games for Waconia .
Cook and Cole Peters each went 2-for-5 for Young America .
Cologne 17 , St . Boni 5

The Hollanders brought their bats along for this one , pounding out 16 hits and 17 runs in an eight-inning contest .
Alex Meeker and Tim Swanson each had three of those hits , one of Swanson ’ s being a home run . Erik Braund also notched a roundtripper for Cologne . Kyle Twait and Brandon Fritz had multi-hit games with two apiece . Swanson accounted for four RBIs , Kraig Peterson three , and Tyler Swanson and Braund two each .
For St . Boni , Jake Smith picked up three hits while Nick Busch and Mike Dumas had two each . One of Busch ’ s was a homer . Joey Stadnik had two RBIs .
Twait got the pitching win for Cologne , going 6 2 / 3 innings .

In a battle of division leaders at the time , Waconia got the best of it with an 8-2 win over Brownton . Despite their good records , the teams combined for seven errors in this one .
Kodey Simon threw six scoreless innings for Waconia , striking out seven . Dylan Lindner and Ben Smothers finished it out , each allowing one of Brownton ’ s runs .
Waconia got to Bruins starter Dylan McCormick for two runs in the third ; then touched reliever Reggie Vacek for four more in the fifth and sixth to open up the game .
Ronnie Olson had the big night for the Lakers , going 3-for-5 with two RBIs . Simon and Smothers added two hits apiece .
For Brownton , Ryan Grams was the only player with more than one hit , getting two ,
one being a double . Bryce Lindeman tallied both Bruin RBIs .
Plato 12 , Brownton 2
Wed ., May 25
Again , Plato jumped all over an opponent early , scoring six runs in the first two innings in this evening game at Hamburg .
Brownton got two back in the third , but Plato responded with one more . The Bluejays then put it away with five more scores in the sixth .
Matt Odegaard had the kind of a night a player dreams of – 4-for-4 with six RBIs and three runs scored , including a double and a home run .
Chris Odegaard also scored three times on a 2-for-4 night with a double . Nolan Lepel and Joe Nix each knocked in two runs . Lepel and Adam Prehn had two hits apiece , as the Bluejays totaled 14 for the evening .
Cody Hallahan threw a complete 7-inning game on the mound , allowing five hits and striking out four .
Brownton ’ s five hits were scattered among Spencer Glaeser , Matt Schwichtenberg , Deryk Randt , Jason Rosenau , and Dylan McCormick .
Watertown 4 , Carver 3
Thurs ., May 26 The Red Devils won their second extra-inning game with a 4-3 walk-off over Carver .
Watertown led 2-1 after the first . The Black Sox later scratched across two runs for a 3-2 lead going into the ninth . The Red Devils tied it in the bottom of the ninth . Then in the 10th , Mitch Kelzer led off with a single , Andrew
Nichols sacrifice-bunted him to second , and Bryce Duske drove home the game-winner with a single to center .
Pat Tschida worked the first eight innings for Watertown with Nichols finishing the last two and taking the win .
For Carver , Andrew Weber had a strong outing with seven innings pitched . Jack Norton was touched for the loss .
The Red Devils had 15 hits in the contest led by Ryan Hangartner and Kelzer with three each . Tschida , Jared Duske , and PJ Hangartner had two apiece .
Besides pitching , Weber was 2-for-5 for the Sox with two of the team ’ s RBIs ; one of his hits was a triple . David Dolan also went 2-for-5 .
Hamburg 4 , Winsted 3
Thurs ., May 26
In another 10-inning game , Hamburg outlasted the visiting Wildcats , also by a 4-3 score .
Tim Willems beat out a single and Clint Aretz scored from second on a wild play to end the game .
Jack Schnettler pitched very well for the Hawks , going the first nine innings with eight strikeouts . Taz Siebert picked up the win with one inning of relief .
Seven players had one hit apiece for the Hawks , with Willems getting two RBIs .
Garrett Zander had the only two-hit game for Winsted while seven of his teammates had one hit each . Luke Theisen had two RBIs . Brady Jenkins started and threw five innings for Winsted , relieved by Andrew Ghost-
