Norwood team status determined for 2016 season

With Norwood not fielding a team in the Crow River Valley League this year , the following action was taken at a special league meeting Wed ., May 4 :
• Norwood was granted a leave of absence , remaining an inactive league member , with the issue to be revisited at the fall meeting . ( The Norwood park is available to use for make-up games , etc .)
• Each team is granted one forfeit www . CRVLbaseball . com
win vs . Norwood , which is applied to the league standings immediately . This leaves the North and West division teams with an 18-game schedule , while the other Central teams have 17 games . Because of that , the tiebreaker process for ties across divisions was modified to use a runs-per-game calculation rather than total runs to allow for a difference in number of games played .
