TOP 10 IYAKE LAKE by Oluwatomisin Runsewe - @roluwatomisin Oke-Ado Mountain is in the town of Ado Awaiye, Oyo State. On top of the mountain is Iyake Lake, one of only two recognized suspended lakes in the world. It sits at about 150m above sea level and is a two hour hike from the foot of the mountain. The lake is sacred to the people of the town below who believe that water from the lake has medicinal properties. In addition to the mysterious allure of the suspended lake, Oke-Ado Mountain is a tourist attraction with hiking, campsites, and cable cars that connect it to other mountains in the vicinity. view of Mount Patti, with an altitude of 458.3 meters. Mount Patti is a wooded range of highlands, spreading about 15 kilometers and visible from every part of the city of Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State. The history of Nigeria as a nation is not complete without a reference to the distinctive role this location played in the creation of the country. THE CONFLUENCE by Abalaka Philip Ejima - @mruniverse_01 In this picture, you can see the majestic Benue River, a major tributary of the Niger river, and the scenic splendor of their confluence from the pinnacle Sir Frederick John Dealtry Lugard conceived the idea of the Nigerian nation on Mount Patti and went on to form the northern and southern protectorates. Lady Flora Shaw Lugard also coined the name Nigeria (Niger-Area) from this mountaintop, after viewing the fascinating scenery. This confluence was represented on the National Coat of Arms.
