We decided to do our walk twice to experience it at different times . The first walk was on Sunday the 6th of November at 2pm - it was rainy , grey and quiet . Our second walk took place on Wednesday the 23rd of November at 11.30am . The weather was much brighter and the people around seemed more cheerful than previously .
We took our time to gather information , a walk like this forces you into experiencing the city in a way you don ’ t naturally do . Our route took us past Kalvin Ter , down Reviczky utca and along Jozsef utca . We passed Aurora utca to go on to Gallery 8 by Matyas Ter .
Gallery 8 was a huge contrast to the Vintage Gallery . Situated in one of the poorer areas of the city , it felt more welcoming to enter , much less pretentious and has a mission . Their aim is to “ serve the Roma community : to enable and support the production , presentation and interpretation of Roma artworks .”
