Crossing Canada With The Maplemusketeer Volume One - An Overview (June 2014) | Page 40
I’m frequently asked how I travel around so much, or how
I can afford to travel around so much. Part of the answer
is that I travel with a very flexible schedule and tend to
travel in small segments. By doing this, I’m often able to
find rides, or photoadventures, with friends that span
from one town to the next a little ways down the road.
Here’s an example. Karsten is willing to give me a ride
from Victoria to Nanaimo, an hour and a half from
Victoria, and make it into a photoadventure. Nicole
joins us for the trip and we decide to make it a day trip
adventure and go almost another hundred kilometres
exploring north, while climbing various things and
wandering around logging roads en route to being
dropped off in Nanaimo for a few days with Jesse Janzen
and Ryan Jobson.
