Crossing Canada With The Maplemusketeer Volume One - An Overview (June 2014) | Page 396
Running the rail across the
Prairies had challenges. It is a
vast distance to cover, but it is
also an open land with less large
changing of altitudes. The many
mountain ranges, especially the
Rockies, between the Prairies and
the Pacific must have looked like
quite the daunting challenge.
Eventually the route was found,
the rail line pushed through, and
the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans
connected across Canada.
We travel these few corridors
amongst the towering mountains.
It daunts me still.
