I’m at a rest stop in Virden.
This isn’t too far away from
Kola, where I stopped by my
friends’ farm on the way east,
but I’m moving quickly now.
I spent a day in Winnipeg with
friends before getting aboard
this bus bound for Calgary.

Only a few days back, I was in Toronto
and now the prairies pass around me.
A fellow sat down next to me a few
stops ago, and we’ve struck up quite
a conversation about life and the
opportunities / challenges encountered.
His vehicle broke down, so he sold
it to a garage across the street and
hopped a bus. He’s heading to Calgary
for an interview about a new job.
I’m returning to the sea.
