Crossing Canada With The Maplemusketeer Volume One - An Overview (June 2014) | Page 28
Welcome to Victoria, BC, on
Vancouver Island, across the Salish
Sea from Vancouver on the west
coast of Canada. Here I’ve lived
a few times in my 32 years. Here
I went to college, worked a couple of
my numerous jobs, and met many
interesting and wonderfilled people.
Like many places, this is a city
of diverse cultures. Waves of
peoples have come to these shores,
encountered what was, become a
part of what is, and are becoming
what will be. It’s a Government town
and a University town. As one walks
around, hints abound to European,
North American, and Asian cultural
history and traditions through art
and architecture, food and music.
