I woke up this morning having overslept my alarm for
the first time on this trip. Which wouldn’t have been
such a big deal if I didn’t have to throw my sleeping bag
into the bottom of my pack, followed by the rest of my
possessions, and be a few metro stations over in a short
period of time to meet my rideshare from Montreal to
Halifax, Nova Scotia!
I pack in a flurry, step out the door and let it close,
locked behind me, fairly sure I’ve got everything with
me. I walk with a fast pace to the metro and get to the
assigned meeting point right on time, to the minute,
only to discover that my ride isn’t there. They arrive a
few minutes later.
